Its all very confusing... But the powers of a dead man should be no more or less powerfull. It seems like the edo-tensi made him seem in his prime, but his powers might of that not so strong, considering he died an old man, shouln't he have been revived as an old man then? But I supose edo-tensi works diffrently than Rinne Tensei. Then again, edo-tensi's have like unlimited chakra, and can't realy die unless sealed, they are strong enough. His orignal plan was to be revived by pains Rinne Tensei anyways guys... so I doubt that an old shrivled up madara could handle the 10 tails, obvosly there was more to it.
