I was thinking the same way before, but then I realized that Sasuke will use any means to destroy Naruto, that's how he thinks now.

That is still linked to Itachi, it is somewhat reserved for Sasuke, it is not like he is "borrowing" itachi's powers.
Sasuke's eyes do have that outside ocular jutsu look that might just grant "Uchiha" powers we haven't seen before like Izanami appeared with Itachi

Everything sasuke does is all through UCHIHA
never SENJU, so thats why he won't succumb to that, he will always use UCHIHA powers. and there are still UCHIHA powers we might not know about, since they always surprise us.

If he realizes that he can't destroy Naruto with his powers, he will seek a greater power through any means. That's how Sasuke is.

Sasuke was so appauled to have to kill his best friend to gain power, so he faced Itachi without doing that
I am sure Sasuke is also just as appalled to gain power through Senju DNA
