I think she adds another layer to the story which isn't necessary. The final villain should've been Obito imo.
Having said that, i don't really dislike her character. At least she's doing a better job at being the final villain than Madara.

I don't understand what you mean by mystery though. All those things have been revealed already.

i feel like his editor and publishers are forcing him to make the panels larger and less story progression, the thing that almost every mangaka faces at the end of their series.

And, kishi always leaves something for the end. he doesnt always reveal everything at once at the beginning.

He used the term "phase" instead of arc. I thinking he met like the final Saga and it seems that it will be based on the Six Realms of Existence myth.

I suspect we will learn more about her after the fight, it seems that Kishi is trying to keep an air of mystery about her.

Where in the midst of this battle should this backstory be inserted ?
Give it time and let it come naturally
