Do you think IQ matters ?

Personally it annoys me a little when people brag about their IQ. Imo, IQ only tells you how fast you can figure things out when you’re calm. Obviously there’s a reason it’s still around but majority of stupid people I met imply how they have a high iq, while calling you stupid

someone that tries to belittle others, is just projecting how they feel about themselves. i wouldnt let it bother me, thats their shit

ive never gotten an IQ test, so i dont really know how much it matters. but i do know theres emotional intelligence, that i dont think is counted. and i know that genius applies to certain areas, ive never met anyone who is a genius in every area of life. ive met some really smart people but theres areas they arent that smart in as compared to others

People who brag about having a high IQ are simply looking for a false sense of self validation. Someone who truly has a high IQ won't necessarily boast about it.
