I know Hidan is a foul mouthed and short tempered freak.... but whenever I watch Kakazu and Hidan Arc I think Hidan's apparent immortality makes him, shinobi having powers like him and Jashin come into the picture in a later plot in the series....

Maybe, but I don't think so.

He needs to complete his ritual in order to stay immortal, so I think he's already died after being buried in pieces for so long.

It would be interesting to see other Jashinists in the series, though. They'd be tough opponents, that's for sure. xd

He will lose his immortality from not making sacrifices.

He loses his Immortality for not having any nutrients so he will die a very slow death. He could be alive still or dead. Do I think he will come back? no.

He was Edo'ed back at the Chikara arc. Edo'ed means dead or died. So he's dead already and can be back only if Edo'ed again.

he is deep in to the ground, with his body's in pieces, and the only person who would stitch him was kakuzu.
so why would they need him, especially during a war.

Who knows!

Maybe Lord Jashin will show up and run wild on Konoha.. Only way to stop him will be to bring back Hidan, the only one who knows the ritual..

Okay, scratch that, it sounds dumb. Kishi writes better.. But something like that.
