Every one is saying he could with his PS no his PSS (perfect stabilized susano'o), the god three is so huge it makes Sasuke's PSS looks like a damn dog, but really Sasuke with his PSS is is similar to a woodsman up against one of those huge threes in the forest i mean like really really huge trees and his PSS shows no sigh of destruction like how Madara did with his ps and slice a mountain - so i guess he would have to cut and cut or he would have to chop and chop his way through (cause the PSS capabilities is still a mystery). If Sasuke's PSS showed signs of destruction like Madara yeah he definitely can cut it down but he just sliced some meteorites in the sky but it didn't look like there was much just slicing not no big kinda force no real power in those slice so i don' know. We should leave Sasuke to show off some of his new techniques, and what he is really capable off - we haven' been seeing much from him lately though not sure what he is hiding at all but it seems like he can't do much at the moment.

Conclusion:
I am not bashing Sasuke at all, i am not saying that he cannot cut down the god tree, all i am saying is that there have been no signs that he can - so i really can't tell cause if you measured the diameter of that three you would really understand. And he hasn't sown us much of what he can do so this is just a blank, until we know what Sasuke perfect stabilized susano'o (PSS) is capable off this is still a mystery.

But i would say he could do it eventually.
