In my own personal celebration of the Naruto manga ending, I went back and re-watched all of Naruto part 1 and 2. It reminded me of how good Part 1 really was in comparison to part 2.

I so prefer part one by a hair, because of the fact it has less slow moments(boring episodes) the comedy isn't dead, and its just really enjoying to see Naruto go on missions with all of K-11 after sasuke leaves. Plus the fact it brings back memories of my Elementary days.

Part 2 had sooo much potential but that got ruined by bad decisions.

Im guessing that his editors or whatever just demand more pizzass and didnt care. They just want big explosion things and attention grabber.

I mean the story is absolutely great. Definitely have some versitility to it but the way it came to was just rushed and just seemed like kishi wasnt too happy about it.

Part 1 was the best as it was his own creation, untainted, uninfluenced by other's volitions.

If it was crap, because he made it crap. Part 2 was beautiful then just people started crapping on top of it.

Still, i wouldnt mind having part 3

This question is very hard to answer, but I'll have to go with part 1.

Part 1 is better because there is way less BS, but I prefer part two just because there is more of it. Two has A LOT of my favorite things.

Part 2.

I haven't watched the majority of part 1, only key plot points.

I am mostly an anime viewer only.

Part 1: Was amazing, it was the period that as a Sasuke fan, chidori was the most awesome thing ever, everyone amazed how the last Uchiha mastered that jutsu. I was very young during Part 1 and I enjoyed it, but I believe Part 1 is kinda childish because Naruto is a kid in it basicly. The animation and fights had a better feeling even thought in Part 2 there are some good fights too.

Part 2: Becomes and in my opinion aims for a more mature audience, there are things that a kid won't understand watching Naruto Shippuden, you can clearly see how it is aimed at a more mature audience, but it could be because Naruto is more mature himself, the show kinda becomes a little more serious and is more enjoyable for me, but the most enjoyable thing was watching Naruto Part 1 as a child/early teen and Part 2 as a grown up teen/almost adult.

Part 2 soundtrack is more nice in my opinion, as a guy that listens only to anime/movie soundtrack I got to say Naruto Part 2 soundtrack and Fairy Tail are my favorite ones, composed by the same composer. I take soundtrack high into consideration when I am watching an anime/movie and on this part I have to go with Part 2.

I would choose both if I could but, I will go with Part 2 this time, even though I love both, been watching Naruto since 10 years.
Remember this is my opinion and only respect mine like I respect yours :)

Part 1 is amazing and cool, also it is the only point in the story where Sasuke has a good heart, but Part 2 easily. The ideology and themes are so great, how everything comes to a full circle too is amazing. The entire time you have Sasuke, a character bent on revenge and the bigger picture is Sasuke is the embodiment of hatred in the ninja world by the end of the story, which earlier in the story Naruto's goal is to eliminate all the hatred and bring peace to the ninja world. One by one Naruto takes down threats that are tnj'd into understanding their route of peace isnt correct and we cant just kill each other out of acts in revenge. And once that theme is in place, it comes to a full circle in Sasuke's character. Hard to explain, but you feel me?
