The games, and for one reason...Ash is way too weak...but if there is an anime that I prefer is the one with Red as the main character, that one was dope, he actually managed to do something

That's because it's an animated version of the game from where I'm seeing. Ash was at his best in Sinnoh and he did better in Johto than Hoenn but oh well.

You can't go around saying that you will become a champion and that you will catch them all and end up catching 5-6 pokemons in each region, i mean i get it that it's a show made for kids in general but it still annoys me XD

That's true. I think a new protagonist wouldn't bite and Ash could have been in cameo appearances growing stronger. ;(

In Hoenn, Ash did get 5 and that's disappointing. Kanto and Unova he caught a lot (excluding the Tauros). Oh well I guess.

Pokemon games win for me. Pokemon is an anime/game that I grew up with and I've been playing since this day. When I was a kid, I liked both the anime and games, however, the games win for me now. My only gripe with the pokemon games is that Game Freak is playing it too safe and decide not to bring back the battle frontier in ORAS because it was too "difficult". While they shouldn't make the games too hard for children but they should definitely consider bringing back some sort of variant of the challenge mode in B/W 2 for us pokemon veterans. Even that challenge mode wasn't as difficult as the battle frontier from what I've remembered.

The anime is decent, it does get a lot of hate but it's not as bad as people state it is IMO. What I want the anime to do is have Production IG make more OVA's or maybe even a seasonal anime. XD Pokemon Origins was amazing and depicted a part of Red's adventure nicely. It would've been amazing if they would made it into a 12 or 24 episode season. Basically, I want Production IG to start adapting the Pokemon Games, assuming that the current studio (TMS entertainment?) allows it. I know Pokemon Origins was for an anniversary but it was very enjoyable. Can you imagine getting anime seasons adapting each of the pokemon game generations with their respective lead players?

Overall I would say, Pokemon-games.
- Pokemon Crystal was good.
- Pokemon Fire-Red is something that I still play from time to time.
- Pokemon Emerald was fine too, but I didn't enjoy the 3rd Gen. Pokemon much.

My favorite game was by far "Pokemon Black/White".
The story was amazing. Not just black and white (no pun intended) like in the previous games, but with a real ethical question. "N" was a great character. I also liked the music and the world itself with its characters very much.
It was like a re-start of the franchise, without any of the old Pokemon until one defeated the Pokemon League. That was perfect, I got tired of seeing the same old pokemon over and over again.

The anime is very boring to me. Ash doesn't get older from arc to arc and he even forgets that he has to weak a Pokemon in order to catch it. It lacks real progression.
I never tried the manga, but I don't care about it either.

EDIT:
I totally forgot "Pokemon Origins" as well as the first Pokemon-movie "Mewtwo Strikes Back". Both were great! Especially the movie. I always cry while watching it. It's so beautiful and touching <3

I have Emerald. I liked the cutscene where Rayquaza simmered both Groudon and Kyogre.

The Pokemon Adv manga not that bad but oh well .-.

Yeah, it descended from the sky like a god. That was pretty cool :D

OH !!!
Do you mean the 4-episodes special "Pokemon Origins"?
I totally forgot about that. This was so well done, love it <3
But it wasn't perfect. I like Mewtwo more in the first movie, where it actually speaks.

Everyone who didn't already see it, should do it know. Here is the trailer if someone is interested.

Oh the game, no competition. Ash and his little story lost my interest after Sinnoh or Unova, wherever he lost to a level 5 Snivy with his pikachu. Pokemon anime would be better with a new main character....

Games > Manga >>>>>>>>>> Anime
Simply because of how stupid the anime is.

The manga has everything the anime has to offer except it is more creative, has an actual plot and is more mature. A much more interesting set of characters than the anime. The anime completely ignores all logic: Thunder Armour? Pikachu losing to Snivy?
I will admit the first three arcs of the anime (Indigo, Orange and Johto) were well done but the consistency of a plot and better characters and better battle shoots the manga far ahead.

I put the games above because gameplay is fun and story is pretty good. I don't think you can really compare the two media to the games, so I just put which I enjoyed more.

Yeah I agree the Manga does have more creativity. I remember that Eevee turning into the Eeveeloution then settled into an Espeon.

You think the kids are champion level or at least Elite?
