Idk I just feel like it's weird he learned chidori from kakashi, who he has no care or regard for in the world, and he mastered shape change better than him in everyway possible. He just took that shit from him. Naruto using rasengan isn't as weird cause he learned it from jiraiya and it's made by his father. Sasuke kinda just jacked that shit.



I'm hoping 'that jutsu' of Naruto's is just a completely original jutsu similar to rasengan but different properties and appearance etc

It's Sasuke memento from his time with Team 7... plus it's a powerful technique that uses Sasuke's lightning element, and requires the Sharingan to perform. Most lightning-style techniques utilize lightning's superiority at "piercing", so Chidori is a pretty standard move. It's pretty similar to the Third Raikage's move.

I honestly wish Sasuke used Chidori variants more. Ever since he unlocked Enton, it's been outclassed.
