Do you know any extremists?

Simple question, do you know any extremists? Or in other words, a person who follows an ideology to a degree where they view people of a certain race, sexuality, religion, etc, as worse/better than others solely due to those traits, and are prepared to generalize those groups of people and put them all under the same label?

Obviously, the internet is filled with examples of extremism, such as the one above, but personally I haven't (To my own knowledge.) encountered anyone in real life who actually goes through such extreme measures when it comes to ideologies like these. It goes without saying that those kinds of people are only a select few, but still, I'm interested in knowing if anyone here has ever personally encountered people like that in real life.

Extremism can also be valued when you support your government's illegal actions. This would put more than half of the world on the list. Some just like to view other different culture as extremists, but do not know they are also.

The occasional religious extremist. My brother became a religious extremist for a while, going as far as mocking other religions and putting them down. He even did so within our own family, putting down family members for their choices in religion.

Other than that, no.

In response to the example you provided, that guy is idiotic. Everyone now-a-days knows Homosexuality is NOT a choice, his explanation to the contrary is laughable at best.

Exteremism and supremacy comes from insecurities, people want to feel better about their existence so they build a superiority around their race, gender, religion, sexuality etc. And they are a major threat when they get grouped (for example ISIS).
