[PC] Do you have to pay monthly for Kenshi?

guys I really need help with this. I want to play Kenshi but I wanted to know if you have to pay a monthly rate for it or is it just a one time thing. also if it's only a one time thing, do you have to pay for the updates or is it like minecraft, were you get them for free?
