Do you hate the character itself or just the fanboys that come with it?

What I don't understand is how in the world can you hate a fictional character. And have such devotion to that hate and hate someone else and drag there lifeless body with you. It's demoralizing and deviating from the story that Kishimoto is telling us. Naruto is a providence of Devine Teachings. It can bring inspiring messages. And has a spiritual and physical stand point. Emotionally speaking, Naruto has touch are hearts.

For example, do you actually hate Minato, Sasuke, Kakashi, Hashirama, and Madara. Just because of there personality? There sense of right and wrong? The Character itself!!! Is it because of there fears and powers? (Which does not make sense)

Or the fanboys. The dreaded fanboyism that comes with each and every character. Logic or not. It's the character all the time. It frankly pisses people off.

Now, I need a honest answer. Do you hate Sasuke. Or is it the fanboys?

Naruto is a anime. And only a anime. Why should we be overly dramatic over everyone else who likes a certain character. People need to learn how to talk to one another and have some decent social skills. Of course this is the Internet and god knows what's goes on. But, are we as humans. Are gonna act like morally vauge people? Or are we gonna at least have a decent discussion?

I don't hate any character as they all play a role of some sort in the manga and for that I appreciate everything about all characters fodder or not. I don't hate fanboys either I just don't understand how they conceptualizer their arguments and won't budge(for the most part) or claim them to be something they are not. But unfortunately some fanboys really get under my skin and irritate the crap out of me, but I won't go as far as to say I hate any of them.

For me it is equal part fanboys, and equal part what the character represents. What I mean by that is I will pair a character with a person that reminds me of them in real life and if I hate that person then I unconsciously hate that character. The brain is a fantastic thing.

I hate characters. I also love characters. I know the "People" are not real but its not them whom I hate. Its their character. Sakura is 'someone' I cannot hate because shes not real. but sakura's character is something I hate.I feel if characters were not to be loved or hated then they all would be the same. why have different characters if we are not supposed to love or hate them? Sasuke is a character I enjoy. Again a fan will always be more biased if they dont acknowledge their favorite characters faults. sasuke has the most fans so he has alot more unrealistic fans. mind you every ninja has unrealistic fans. just sasuke has the most. so i dislike sasuke fanboism because i see it the most

I really don't "hate" either. Can I get a little irritated by the fanboys? Sure, but who doesn't from time to time?

How can you not understand how one can hate a character? First of all, just because a character is "fictional", does not mean that you cannot hate the fictional character. If I told you a long and detailed story about a person who murdered his wife and children, most likely you will hate the person. But what if I told you that the person was fake and a mere figment of my imagination? Does this invalidate your hate? Do your feeling all of a sudden become irrational? The answer is an obvious and resounding "no".

In fact, if a fictional character does not produce in you emotion: if the hero of the story does not inspire you, if you do not sympathize with the character, if you do not absolutely revile the villain, then either 1 of 3 things happened: 1) the story was told poorly, 2) you have desensitized yourself to vicariously experiencing the story, or 3) both.

Please don't say it's "just an anime". I hate it when people say "just" for things that have the artistic and literary potential. When people say it's just a video game, they undermine it's worth. If you say it's just an anime, you turn Kishimoto's story into common rabble, as bar yourself from ever being able to regard it as a literary piece of art that's worthy of examination (If it can even be called that. I'm not saying that this is what Naruto is, I'm only saying why it's dangerous to call something "just anything"). Granted, sometimes it needs to be said, but not this case.

P.S. My favorite character is Sasuke, and no, I don't hate any characters in the story. Personally, I don't think the story is told very well. It's extremely corny and cliched, if I'm being honest. I still like it, but Naruto is not something that people will quoting in generations to come for it's outstanding observations on humanity.

Their fanboys/girls... Indefinitely. I can understand the fact you want your character to be on top, but when you apply unrealistic attributes and techniques to them, then you've crossed the boundaries into unreasonable fanboyism.. Hashirama fans piss me off the most, the only thing they truly know is his techniques, but we've never seen him fight. So, they pile S-Rank technique upon S-Rank technique for him to use not even knowing the situations in which he'd use such techniques, or his battle strategies, & taijutsu abilities; When the only fight he was shown in was being defeated and sealed by a decrepit 3rd Hokage. -___- ....
