Do you guys think that Obito pulled off a better Madara then well Madara himself

Madara's presence is hardly anything. As soon as Madara came out of that coffin, my attention went straight to Tobi. Tobi's mysteriousness > Madara as whole.
OT: Yup. Tobi is the superior version of Madara, power aside.

You have the motivation confused with the goal. Obito went down that path because Rin died, he started a war for peace.
