Not yet, give them some new world feats. Then we can decide

main chars never have a prime. They always keep growing stronger until the story ends

story is only just over halfway, expect more powerups from them, and for them to gain haki or better in haki

They are no where near their prime.
-Luffy still has a far way to become the Pirate King
-Zoro is no where near to being the best swordsman
and you can continue with the other members

They probably still have ways to go into the new world until they reach that

Prime means the strongest moment in their life.... what would be the point if they won't get any stronger?
The answer is no, they aren't on their prime.

they're just 20 something now, you're in your prime when you're mid thirties, strength wise.

No, like said, they're the main characters hence they will continue to grow
The most logical point to prove this is: Zoro wants to be the greatest swordsman in the world
Currently, Mihawk holds that title. For Zoro's story to have a satisfying conclusion, he will most likely reach this goal

Just like Luffy has to beat the shit out of Akainu for what he did, which he isn't strong enough to do atm

NO NO NO NO NO. I have to disagree
There are manga where the head character at the end of the serie isnt in their prime at all : Rurouni Kenshin for example

Of course there are exceptions but for One Piece it's obvious what route they're following
