[Question] Do you guys think Luffy will get the Mera Mera no Mi?

I really want him to, not necessarily for him because Luffy will always be Gomu but I just want it in Luffy's possession.

However I can see him missing out which would be a real buzzkill.

Anyways wanted to hear some opinions.

Edit: I don't mean will he gain its powers, I'm asking will he have possession of it.

oda has already stated he does not want luffy to be a traditional powerful op powers type of main character and if it happens he would stop writing and that is confirmation he wont give luffy 2 dfs or a logia power

he cant eat it, only reason why blackbeard could is because it's one of the abilities of his fruit to be able to nullify other fruits, also to possess more than one fruit how many fuits he can use we do not know, however if another fruit user were to eat 2 fruits they die on the spot

same here, the only thing is whitebeard's fruit has the potential to destroy world's because of it's function but people are not worlds and I am pretty sure there are many people out there who can compete with BB, shanks would destroy him since he doesn't have a fruit and BB has some advantage over fruit users, I think zoro, mihawk, Garp, rayleigh and most non-fruit users could compete with him, luffy has haki now as well and + an angry vengeful luffy never loses

That was never proven...The Yami Yami No Mi has never been stated to be the reason Teach can have 2 devil fruits, also the rumor that people die after having 2 devil fruits has only been that...a rumor so far we've never seen someone try to eat 2 devil fruits other than Teach and he succeeded.

Anyway I'd prefer Luffy to have the Mera Mera No Mi, so he can kick both Teach and Akianu's ass with it and the combination of a fire and rubber devil fruit could be devastating.

However realistically I doubt he will eat it, since I think Oda want's to keep Luffy a rubber man and nothing more...but you never know.
