Main: Macedonian

Similar that I can speak: Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian/Montenegrin

Similar that I can understand. . . somewhat: Bulgarian/Slovenian

Learned: English. I also had French and Latin. . . but that didn't go well. . . although I'll need Latin, so I guess that I'll be getting back to it. . . :yeah:

I speak Serbian, English and German.
I'm not good at German though, but my brother moved to Germany, so i'll have to learn it better. :)
Edit: Oh, i forgot about the languages similar to Serbian: Croatian, Bosnian and Montenegrin. (I know to speak them fluently)
The languages that i can somewhat understand: Macedonian, Bulgarian, Slovenian and maybe Russian.
And i'll start learning Latin in high school...
That's it. :)

I can speak and understand at least 9 languages including English which I learned mostly by watching movies and here on the forum.

I know some words from about 41 languages to be exact. Can sing in 32 lingu's as I like all kinds of music.

and when I am in a country I dont understand the language of, I manage to get by, by trying words in the different languages I know, they usually end up understanding one of them. I,e I want to say thank you, if they dont understand that, I say gracias "if you are in italy they would understand it because they say Grazie, and vice versa. If you are in france, they would understand you saying thank you in persian as it is "mersi" and french merci. If you are in Germany "Danke", theyd get you if you said it in netherlandish "dank" and theyd probably understand thanks or thank you, if they smart U_U, norway, denmark and sweden (takk, tak, tack) all sound the same, russia (spasiba, as far as i know, the only similar thank you, is in kurdish "spas" a tribe similar to persians i think, you say Spasiba, if you do, spanish, italian are somewhat similar, and in this case in latin it is almost the same "gratias" spanish alone would have you speaking in a major part of the world, add english to it, then arabic and indian. Indian, Punjabi, and Hindi and others are similar "Dhannvaad" in punjabi, and can say dhanyavaad in hindi. A persian would understand thank you in both french and arabic, and turkish, as they sound similar. Teshekkur "turkish" tashakku/ar arabic, mutashakkuram in persian and mersi at the same time etc.., strangely enough portuguese and japanese have a similar way of saying thank you, so in conclusion, if you knew about 10 lingu's, and you went to japan, you wanted to say thank you, but they didnt understand, you say merci, danke, spasiba, Dhannvaad, tesekkur, gracias, grazie, takk, they dont understand, then you say obrigado in "portuguese" and they say Ahhhh Arigato? looool and thats the way it has been in my life, in most words, if you try the different languages, they are almost bound to understand you in a foreign country Lol

well there was a theory stating that Arigato came from Obrigado due to the fact that the Portuguese were the first to arrive in Japan around 16th century. However, I don't know if that's really true...
