It happened to me once, and it was because I switched from normal to advance mode, then tried to see a preview of just a picture. It wasn't an error though since I didn't type more then 2 characters.

That is not an error. That is a message that appears only when you type 1 letter, number, etc.

Actually, I've gotten that error message while posting some of my fan fictions that exceeded 30k + characters. I tend to just ignore it and chalk it up to some script issue or the SQL database being screwy.

Yea, no. Its an error message.
You must be registered for see images

OT: All you have to do is lengthen your message. It's a feature within the system to keep down spam and stop 1 and 2 character posts.

Oh, so how it's different what I said, than what you said?
Of course when you post a message containing 1 character be it of any type, number, letter, etc this message appears.
Proof is in what you posted. It asks you to lengthen your message.
So it's not an error message, is more of an attention message, to call it like that, letting you know that you have to lengthen your message given that basically, 1 character replies are considered spam.
So next time,do your lesson better before accusing, dear new so-familiar looking member. :)

In terms of technology, any form of output dialogue in relation to faulty input is conceded as an error message. Not to turn this into an argument about what is and isn't an error message. Just concluding what was already started.

Naturally though, in a forums of this magnitude, excessive scripts and code can at times interfere producing undesired results. In some instances, ones bbcode could even bring about a faulty error message (for example this one). It's best to just edit your post until it's acceptable and repost it.

@Bold: Maybe new members don't know that. I sure didn't when I came here.
@Underline: Yes I know the rules. Don't throw them in my face.
@Blue: It's completely different. What I said was an error message and what you said was "It's not an error message".
@Red: I'm not really sure what you just said there. Could you maybe rephrase that in oh I don't know English please?

I thought one of the requirements of being a mod was to have a good grasp on the English language.
Oh and hun, don't go infracting me for spam because you continuously asked me questions.
