but what makes it retarded? It's not just overrated...it's ****ing retarded O_O
I've read the books...but what makes it retarded?
people easily judge the books but i dont see whats so bad about it imho
can understand to some degree but the saga is linked together making it seem more relaistic even though it is ficton.I've read the books...
The story line is so ridiculously retarded its not even funny U_U
i understand completely here, i read the books by reccomendation of a friend who read the books before the film and i found the movie to be a big dissapointment although i did enjoy the James battle sceneYes, it's ridiculously overrated >.<. I mean, it's ok... I guess... but seriously, it's way too much. Plus, half of the people who claim to be "fans" of it, only read the book because of the movies, so in truth, it doesn't have nearly as many true fans as people think.
Vampires that sparkle in the sunlight are not realistic...can understand to some degree but the saga is linked together making it seem more relaistic even though it is ficton.

vampires are fables, myths, legends etc etc it wouldn't be suprising if a modern take on an old myth would have been released sooner but the book does incorperate a lot of modern attitudes and beliefsone thing i find confuseing about it is why are they vampires in day light totally breaks all rules unless ur blade its explained in the comics. i jsut htink there trying to make vampires cute not possible look at nosferattu .
Yeah, the book was out quite a while before the movie. But it's like, I'm at school one day, and barely anyone even heard of Twilight, and then the next day, boom, I can't go to any of my classes without seeing the book >.<. It reminds me of how in sports someone becomes a fan of something when they win a championship.can understand to some degree but the saga is linked together making it seem more relaistic even though it is ficton.

not necessarily no. but the linking of the story line like the change from twi-new moon is more realstic than sherlock holmes where he finds himself if different situations altogether with no real link.Vampires that sparkle in the sunlight are not realistic...
i was about to post that...seriously sparkles ruined Vampires for me.Vampires are supposed to super-awesome and let's say if you do meet a Vampire, you'd treat it seriously.
But Twilight Vampires just ruined it for me.
Honestly, how can you treat a sparkling person seriously?
Sparkles are reserved for Barbie Dolls, Rainbows and random unicorns
but definitely NOT for vampires.
Stephanie Meyers had succeeded in turning tough vampires into sissy fags. =/
Oh forgot to give it a ratingi was about to post that...seriously sparkles ruined Vampires for me.
Vampires are ment to be cool, dark, and serious not sparkly..
adding to that the sparkling skin was also used to draw in prey (seen in both book and film) where Bella is drawn in by the diamond tinted skin xOI've only read the first one. (I'lll read everything one though)
I believe that this is a very wlell writen book. Comon, the author caught completly the way a teenager girl thinks. It's very accurate.
It is a little lame though, but its still a great portrait...
Yes... I don't like the all sparkle thing, but if you ignore that, the book made vampires even more scary, dark and deaddly.
The all book is about a perfect human trap! They're attractive: Looks, smell, breath, tone. They're strong and they're fast. And some even have special abilities. All together, its because of their ability to blend with us that made the more scary.
if i see a Twilight Vampire coming my way to kill me, I'll feel flatered until she's sucking my blood dry.
If i see an horrible creature of the darkness comming my way, with blood dipping from his mouth, with sharp teeth, I'll feel less like joinning it...
And they're so much easier to kill... I mean... scare of crosses, sun, holly water and garlic?
