Since I started reading manga I've found myself more into drawing. So has this happened to you? I think it's bound to happen sooner or later. So has it?

Also how good are you?

That I do! I'm not the best, but I'm getting better. I recently purchased a tablet to practice as well as preparing to start my webcomic, "Stellar".

Yes reading Naruto actually did get me into drawing. I'd say I'm pretty good but not the best in certain areas (For example:Hand, fingers, toes)

Always been good at portraits but suck at everything else. Not to hard when you're just sketching though.

I can draw certain things that I'm really good at if I take my time. For example, I can draw really good eyes.

Yeah, I actually made a thread recently showcasing some recent drawings. I can definitely understand what OP is talking about. I get a lot of inspiration from mangas. In contrast to animation, manga panels give the viewer a chance to breakdown the linework and really pay attention to the drawings in each panel. I guess the scenes are more meaningful in manga imo since the anime form (if there is one) would be too fast to appreciate all the lines in an individual panel.

When they say practice makes perfect, they mean it! In truth, all it takes to be decent is direction (your inspiration/style choice) and practice. My inspiration is Tessa Stone. I model my work after hers and her comic, "Hanna is Not a Boy's Name".

The outline is all fine for me but as soon as I start to work on the details like hair, facial features or clothes, I ruin it :T_T:
