Earlier I was thinking of how weird it is that I never again give any thought to shows, anime/manga, novels etc that I LOVED while watching. Just completely forget about them when I finish the series or as I'm awaiting the new season or next book.

I'd be ABSOLUTELY immersed into whatever it is, then never think about it again once I watch the final episode or read the first last chapter. So weird. So many stories and characters I loved but have forgotten about.

I've read entire novel series, watched 5+ season series, read long-running manga, and just have never given them much or no thought once I got through with them. Kinda like using them for their temporary pleasure, then my brain just dumps my memories of them once they've outlived their purpose.

Movies and short anime/manga are fair to forget about since not much time is required to dedicate to them.

So can you relate?

Same, I rewatch Death Note and Code Geass once a year haha
And yeah, new better anime make me forget about previous, not-as-good ones

Oh lol I find out many things I do are the norm once I ask Google and see that many people do the same. I think I'm so weird and special, but guess not

I've forgotten a lot of things, but I'm hesitant of reviewing them, last time I went back to relive the badass moment of Agmon and Greymon going metal and war I was treated with 'Let's do this buddy' 'yes friend let's do this!' from the badass protagonist I used to relate with. Memories ruined.
Dbz is still just as great though, recently saw Gohan's post ss2 rampage, Vegeta vs Android 19 and it's just as great.

Aside from nostalgia stuff, I do still remember those games and movies, in fact recently beat god of war 2 on pc(emulator) again, so yeah I remember it when current stuff isn't living up to expectations. Otherwise no. So not really.

I can relate. But they are not totally forgotten. I just searched for an opening song after seeing some one else posting it of anime I had watched years ago, I surprisingly remembered some words. It is fun to revisit them.

Not really.
LoK will certainly always stick with me. Damn near perfect show, along with the Last Airbender. Can't wait for next LoK season.
You should buy an amazing book called Avatar: Legacy if you haven't already. It is Aang’s story, his mementos, and keepsakes. Avatar: The Last Airbender: Legacy is the collection that Aang passes down to his son, Tenzin.

Oh yeah, and Kuvira was a total ****** lol

Taking trips down nostalgia lane is always good

Yeah, it is fun. And good songs are especially hard to forget

Yay, great so see that you appreciate this wonderful show! :>
Sure, it has its flaws, but overall it is just amazing. But if you are waiting for a new tv-season, you will be disappointed. Book 4 was the last, but the story will continue in form of Korra-comics, that start in fall 2016. Similar to The Last Airbender and it's canon-comics.

Also yes, Kuvira was a b!tch, but as a character, she is awesome and "badass". Zelda Williams did a perfect job with her unique voice too, I just love it :D

EDIT:
Lol, I almost forgot the book, sorry.
Thanks for letting me know. To be honest, books don't appeal to me. I find it tiring to read text-only :/

OT again:
I remember a lot of series that I really enjoyed and only forget minor things. On the other hand, I forget a lot of important things, so much that sometimes I am afraid that I might have Alzheimer disease or something.

Not usually, but it happened before. I grew up loving Batman and DC heroes in general, but in like middle school, I just went through a phase of not watching it. I didn't have a moment where I quit. It just happened. One day, I watched The Dark Knight and was blown away and thought "Why did I stop watching this?" Something similar happened with Avatar, although it had a shorter time period. I think it had to do with middle school and growing up. You know what they say. You either grow out of it completely or to go back to it of you really loved it. I'm the latter.

But those are the few exceptions and those were years ago. Now I don't do that. My examples are very different and I didn't inmedianlty forget or care afterwards, it was different than that, but that was the closest example I have.

WOW! That is indeed disappointing. I wouldn't have binge-watched the series if I knew that was the final season! Dammit
And Zelda Williams? Awesome name lol

Also, NO NO NO NO NO. I didn't mean for you to think that Avatar: Legacy is a text-only book. LOL goodness no

Very vibrant and sexy like a graphic novel

OT: I wouldn't be afraid of having Alzheimer if I were you. I'm certain forgetting even important things is perfectly normal

Happens sometimes but in games I can remember some details to the point where I won't be surprised at a 'plot twist'.
