Do you consider Danzo a hero too?

honestly i think he could have helped prevent the uchiha masecre but he just wanted shisui's eye and arm sharingans U_U

He believe them to be a threat to the village, he wasn't going to help them

Him having no regard for human life made him too wasteful. His lack of trust made him a poor tactician. He had no faith in humanity and thought he was the only one with the ability to change the world for the best. He did have a point about Hiruzen & others being too soft, but he was way too paranoid. And I'm pretty neutral towards him.

NO! Danzo's is not a hero. He's an extremely dark anti-hero, probably darker than a fair number of the actual villains.
He committed genocide. Genocide is always wrong. Why not use Itachi as a spy, discover who the leaders are, and then arrest them and have fair trails? But no. He manipulated a 13 year old into committing genocide against his own family. He wanted to murder Sasuke when he was 7.
He murdered a messenger frog and refused to help Konoha, preferring it to be destroyed, so he could rule the ruins. How was he made Hokage candidate after that? He should have been declared a missing-nin and traitor.
He ruined Sai's and Sai's brother's life, as well as many other ninja. He can force parents to give their children to him. He wants to make children completely emotionless child soldiers with unquestioning loyalty to him, not the village. Root, in part, led to monsters like Orochimaru and Kabuto. Also, how is having a private army like root legal?
He desecrated corpses to get Sharinigan eyes. He took Shisui's eye, while he was alive!
He condemned Itachi to life of a missing-nin.
He's perfectly willing to send others to do his dirty work. He also pretends to be cripple, so he can have an excuse to not fight. The one time I remember doing something heroic was trying to kill Sasuke, but that was only after he was mortally wounded.
He tries to mind control during the Five Kage Summit. Why? Because only Danzo can solve the world's problems and to force the village to acknowledge him as Hokage.
He's arrogant. Some character can be arrogant but remain at least relatively likeable if they can show that they really are as awesome as they think they are in fights. Danzo is not one of those characters.
He's not a good fighter. Sasuke kills him like ten times.

I dont consider him a hero i conisider him a man who loved the village greatly and in his own way was loyal. He knew that the darkness of the village was his role to continue the roll of the 2nd hokage which even the 3rd allowed as he could not do it. so people bashing danzo for the actions he took which was messed up to but he truly did it all to make sure the leaf prosperd

Nohohhoho way! He's one of the most evil characters in Naruto history! He thinks that as long as it "protects the leaf" anything goes and that the lives of the villagers are expendable. He holds no regard for life or morality. What good is it to preserve a village without the people's interest at heart?

He is certainly a hero. Danzō Shimura is the the phrase "The end justifies the means" incarnated. Yes, he participated in some morally questionable actions. These included the 'Assassination of Yahiko' and the 'Uchiha Clan Incident' and his actions during the 'Invasion of Pain' were debatable but all of them had a greater reasoning to them. Look at the Akatsuki at the time - Danzō & Hanzō's Goal was to eliminate the Akatsuki Threat - they weren't such a threat then, but could easily become one later on. Had there plan succeeded, Nagato would have died and Akatsuki would not have become as big as its potential allowed it to.. a major aspect of the Mugen Tsukuyomi Project would be shut down as well. In addition, the Uchiha Clan were going to press harder and harder before the invasion - extermination at that point was the only option and Danzō was completely justified to keep Naruto away from the Hidden Leaf.

Letting Tsunade die was a bit harsh but I think it is a morally justifiable in a sense - Tsunade was a very soft-leader. She may not appear that way, but she is - she wanted to bring back International Enemy #2 [Sasuke] to the Hidden Leaf, a village he sought to destroy, believed in Naruto and wanted to put Naruto and Kirabi into the war. Hiruzen was an earlier example of a soft-leader. His policies led to the Hyuga Clan Incident, Invasion of Orochimaru, Two Shinobi World Wars which led to the Kyubi Incident which led to the Uchiha Clan Massacre. Danzō doesn't take risks - he was not a extremist. He was a Utilitarian Enthusiast who followed more Right-Wing/Conservative perspective..

I'm conservative, and I think he's despicable. I don't think you get what conservatism is about.
