So I've been recently talking to many people around my work about what the "Ultimate Goal" of life is. Most I speak to are not religious in th slightest and so most of them say it's about furthering their own lifespan. Not in the sense of trying to discover immortality or anything (though some believe they will live to be 1000 with today's technology advancement) but by not sacrificing themselves for anything that doesn't further their own lives. I always say (usually joking) "There are worse things than death" when we talk about it, but some people truly don't think so.
So I'm curious about you all: Do you fear death? Why or why not? How do you feel about the subject?
I don't personally fear any sort of death, I believe in Jesus Christ (this is not a religious debate so I'm not going to entertain anyone who tries to bring that into play) so I know where I'm going, but also because honestly I really don't care about living that much. I don't have much in the way of aspirations other than to raise a family and then die.
