so whether you like it or not,... we are related to apes .... both apes and humans evolved from a common ancestor

get this fact right to your heads ... Humans and chimps share 98% of the same Genetic Material DNA
Humans have 23 pair chromosomes and Chimps have 24 pair.....18 of these pair are IDENTICAL and the other chromosome pair only have minor differences

I am an evolutionary Biologist, so I can assure you: The Human species evolved from a common ancestor of nowaday apes.
(As "Ape" is no species, but a group name of Chimpanzee,Gorilla and so on, you could say, we evolved from apes, having in mind, that the common ancestor belongs to the group "apes" too.)
