that's true...sadly
Yeah 1 things is to believe that God created the Universe (because we still don't know what happened before the Bing Bang) but believing in Creationism is completely stupid

I really want to plus rep you, but I already did....
No biggie =D

And I noticed you've said some cool stuff and I still haven't Rep you so + Rep to you

I only answered this question in many threads.

Few years ago i worked to Siemens.I programmed machines, robots, computors.

When i enter in an manufactory and i see some machines in movement etc...
It's probably ABB, KUKA or SIEMENS and i know that there is a programmer who programmed these machines.

All computing have as basis language a succession of 0 and 1 called binary language.
The parallel with living beings which have as language of programation the genetic codes which is a succession of A T C G the nucleaotide.Plants, animals etc... are constitued of this basis language A T G C the genetic code.

When i enter a farm or a zoo the parallel is obvious.

I ask myself who programmed these animals?

Who programmed these succesion of codes A TG C?

And i see some friends who are in ecstasy in front of some robots and machines. But they're not in ecstasy in front of a cow?An elephant trunk is a lot harder to do than a robot .

The language 010101 binar has been developped by George boole. The C Language has been developped by
Dennis Ricthie.C++ by Bjarne Stroustrup.

And the language of programation of living beings on earth A T G C ?Who invented it?
So when an engeener or programmer who tells me " God doesn't exist "
I answer him that he failed his career and that he need to do something else like fries at Mc do.

You have respect for Von Neuman the creator of computer science but no respect for the creator who created things by far more complex things than an Ipad?

Everywhere you can find God, I found God in the lines of codes i typed at SIEMENS develloping some programs in 68hc11 in assembly. Some find God in art, littérature, botanica, geology etc...I found God in programming.

I talk to engeeners, technician which with i worked. If you're able to make a machine, who created you?Your hand is billions times more complex than the robot you can make.

RESPECT TO GOD THE GREATEST PROGRAMMER

If the programmer/creator is so much more complex than the creation, then God must be pretty complicated. How do you explain his existence then? There must be an even more complex creator that made God.

You have a heart, brain, kidney, etc.? But have you seen it? No? but you believe you do correct? There is your answer.
Ever heard of anatomy?

OT: Which god shall I believe in? The Christian god? The greek gods? Thor? We are all atheists in regard of those.

To be honest, i'm iffy on it. What if he is real? We go to hell right? What if he isn't, we wasted our time right? What if a God does exist, but you worship a fake one, so you go to hell?

This question leads us to the absurdity of infinite regression.

It's like asking :
what caused the cause of the cause of the univers?
Let's continue...
what caused the cause of the cause of the cause of the univers?
Let's continue..
what caused the cause of the cause of the cause of the cause of the univers? etc...

I can give an other exemple .

Imagine you are a soldier ready to fire a gun, but before you shoot you have to ask permission for the soldier behind you, but he has to do the same, and it goes on for infinity. Will you ever shoot? No you wouldn’t. This highlights, the absurdity of an infinite regress and this applies to events to. Therefore, there cannot be an infinite history of past events.

So asking continuously "who created god?"or "what is the cause that created the universe ?"it amounts to saying that we have no univers.

And why should I believe in something that I have never seen? I might as well believe in the tooth fairy or santa claus.

People say stuff like, "I seen him walking with me or following in my footsteps. He is always with me" and all that stupid bs..

Yeah I mean the only things that make sense in Religion is their philosophy and still manage to follow it wrong :rage:

Yup, and that's why we can just simply say that there is the universe only. No god.

I read some of it, full of plot holes and contradictions, wouldn't recommend it... you should try Game of Thrones instead :p

Am I the only 1 who sees Satan a much better "being" than God?

Yeah God in the 1st Testament is ruthless and vengefull but in the 2nd he gets all goody goody out of nowhere, even Jesus changed opinions, because that may not be his opinion, what is written in the Bible is what people from centuries later thought of Jesus
