I'm deist. I don't believe in the Christian God, Allah, Yahweh, Vishnu, etc. But I do believe in a higher power, a God. I don't see evidence that there is not one, I don't see how humanity could get this far in this much time without some higher power guiding us. Without the guide of a god I believe we would have wiped each other out a long time ago.
I believe there is a god watching us, but he doesn't interfere with everyday life. It's like a scientist watching some sort of experiment unfold.
But I don't really know or not. Bottom line: Humanity cannot understand "God".

I am Athiest; This poster will explain;

Islam's most fundamental concept is a rigorous monotheism, called tawhīd (Arabic: توحيد‎). God is described in chapter 112 of the Qur'an as:[24] "Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him." (112:1-4) Muslims repudiate the Christian doctrine of the Trinity and divinity of Jesus, comparing it to polytheism, but accept Jesus as a prophet. In Islam, God is beyond all comprehension and Muslims are not expected to visualize God. God is described and referred to by certain names or attributes, the most common being Al-Rahmān, meaning "The Compassionate" and Al-Rahīm, meaning "The Merciful" (See Names of God in Islam).[25]

Muslims believe that creation of everything in the universe is brought into being by God’s sheer command “‘Be’ and so it is.”[26][27] and that the purpose of existence is to love and serve God.[2][28] He is viewed as a personal god who responds whenever a person in need or distress calls him.[26][29] There are no intermediaries, such as clergy, to contact God who states "We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein"[30]

Allāh is the term with no plural or gender used by Muslims and Arabic-speaking Christians and Jews to reference God, while ʾilāh (Arabic: إله‎) is the term used for a deity or a god in general.[31] Other non-Arab Muslims might use different names as much as Allah,

Muslims identify the prophets of Islam (Arabic: نبي‎ nabī ) as those humans chosen by God to be his messengers. According to the Qur'an[43] the descendants of Abraham and Imran were chosen by God to bring the "Will of God" to the peoples of the nations. Muslims believe that prophets are human and not divine, though some are able to perform miracles to prove their claim. Islamic theology says that all of God's messengers preached the message of Islam—submission to the will of God. The Qur'an mentions the names of numerous figures considered prophets in Islam, including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus, among others.[44] Muslims believe that God finally sent Muhammad (Seal of the Prophets) to convey the divine message to the whole world (to sum up and to finalize the word of God). In Islam, the "normative" example of Muhammad's life is called the Sunnah (literally "trodden path"). This example is preserved in traditions known as hadith ("reports"), which recount his words, his actions, and his personal characteristics. Hadith Qudsi is a sub-category of hadith, regarded as the words of God repeated by Muhammad differing from the Quran in that they are "expressed in Muhammad's words", whereas the quran are the "direct words of God". The classical Muslim jurist ash-Shafi'i (d. 820) emphasized the importance of the Sunnah in Islamic law, and Muslims are encouraged to emulate Muhammad's actions in their daily lives. The Sunnah is seen as crucial to guiding interpretation of the Qur'an. Six of these collections, compiled in the 3rd century AH (9th century CE), came to be regarded as especially authoritative by the largest group in Islām, the Sunnites. Another large group, the Shīʾah, has its own Ḥadīth contained in four canonical collections

I believe in God. I grew up with this idea, and it sort of just stuck to me as a child. But now that I'm older, I have decided for myself that I believe. Looking at God's beautiful creation everyday reminds me of his existence. No explosion or Big Bang could create each individual life form so delicately and uniquely. At least, that's my opinion. No amount of scientific "evidence" will ever change that! :D

People, settle down. This guy posted this thread in General Discussion. In this section, you post about the latest headlines and debate on serious matters. It's not like he posted it in the Naruto Manga Discussion. Give him a break!! :)

You explained this very well and I believe too

Do you believe in god? Why?
Are you an agnostic? Why?
Are you an atheist? Why?

Edit: Everyone fails to explain WHY?!

I believe in a higher being. As much as science is necessary and a wonderful thing. To me, there just has to be something out there, bigger than us. Not just "god" particles, string theory and dark matter. I still claim my Catholic religion, but i take almost all of its teachings with a grain of salt, the Bible included. It's supposed to be Gods word, yes. But Gods word, interpreted by MAN, whom is naturally flawed. If you really want a good debate, or to find out what you really believe. I suggest going on Reddit.

Religous threads aren't allowed. It is not possible to have any kind of intelient discussion on the matter. Please learn what "trolling" is because i'm not sure that you do.

Go ahead, report me, they'll just close your thread.

It hasnt been closed, and many people, including myself, have been able to answer this question. If you are unsure about where you stand, or do not have the intelligence to put it into words. Might I suggest not commenting at all? Or you can STFU altogether. Have a good one.

I am an atheist because I do not see any compelling evidence for the existence of a god.

I am not an agnostic because if there is no evidence for god then why should I be so undecided?
It's like being an intangible/invisible pegasus agnostic. Well, no one can prove that intangible/invisible pegasi don't exist so I guess I'll just sit on the fence.

If a god were to exist, it would be the deist god. The deist god has no way to be proven according to the beliefs of deists. He simply created the universe and let it develop on its own. If a deity with the power to create this universe decided to never interfere existed, we would never be able to detect it. So you could say that deism is similar to an invisible/intangible pegasus.

Theism is far too defined. They describe the specific characteristics of a god, human characteristics at that.

You took a quote from almost two days ago from BEFORE i posted further comments, an expect it to still be relevant? Are you a moron?

I don't know if it's okay for me to post a link to youtube but this guy has some really good arguments if you want and you got the time for it give it a chance and watch it, even though he is muslim.

Like he says when you throw a glass on the ground you get chaos everythings broken. So how can it be that after the big bang there is no chaos but everything is lined up so well? There must be something that organised it right?

As a pagan I don't believe in the judeo-christian god. Not an "all knowing entity(s)" not any "force" that can hear, speak,or intervene in reality.
Divinity to me is merely a universal force of life, The mass of the laws of physics, the mass of all life and death in perfect balance, Where you may say "god" I say "nature" or "Divine"

Nature is a universal subconcious
