Do you believe humans were originally black?

It's not that, it's that they had to adapt to their regions. It matters where you are. In hotter regions people tended to be darker. While in colder, people were lighter. It has to do with adapting to your environment, not white people being more evolved. It also makes sense how Asians have narrower eyes for reasons like blocking things like debris or too much light.

I agree with this. While some of the 1st human fossils were found in Africa, there is no conclusive evidence that the very 1st humans were only born in Africa so far as we know. and As Liar stated It just depends on the enviroment the first humans were born/raised in. Wasn't Jesus born in Bethlehem or some such? but he is depicted as a white person. Though isn't that a middle eastern area?

I think "some" of the first humans were black, but others were asian, middle eastern, white, etc. due to migrating and breeding in other climates and enviroments.

No.

What this guy said is correct, so there's your answer.

Religion isn't meant to go against science. Some of the greatest scientists were religious.

The dude who came up with the big bang theory was a priest/scientist who proposed it to prove God exists.

Lol, that article clearly has a racist agenda. They compare a hot white girl to an ugly black girl. Clearly trying to imply something.

I was just joking :lmao:

The Qur'an says that? So essentially the children of Adam were the ancestors of races. The children of Adam can mean all of humanity too, you know?

What the Quran says is that, Adam and Eve were the first human creation. Since their inhabitance in earth, (does not point out where) they started reproducing and their children reproduced and the population kept on growing. It doesn't also point out whether Adam and Eve were black or white.

The concept of ancestor is more to do with family tree; not really humanity overall.

The idea that everyone was black at one point is flawed by science. A black person doesn't become white in cold regions, as kaira pointed out. A white person could become darker (red in fact), when affected by hot regions, but not turn completely dark like a black person.

Arabs inhabit desert regions where the temperature are too extreme, yet you can still find white Arab that was born in that very region - like my mother for example.

We all evolved from something. There sure as hell weren't no pigeons when dinosaurs were roaming the earth but birds are an adaption of the freaking flying ones(Too lazy to get their names). There weren't pigeons and flying dinosaurs... there were flying dinosaurs then pigeons. That means dark skin had to have been the original skin tone after our fur starting falling off and lighter skin tones only came after we migrated. There would be NO ADVANTAGE for humans if they had pearly white skin in Africa...

I mean the fact that black is dominate over white should tell you. White skin should be the DOMINANT skin tone if that was true.

It has been proven scientifically that we all came from Africa... Actually it has been proven every single one of us are related... An unbroken chain that connects us all to a DNA link. In short, we are al born from our mothers... And every mother passes her DNA components called mitochondrial to her offspring... It doesn't matter about the father because he came from his mother and she received these mitochondrial links.....and all the mitochondrial DNA point back to Africa

This isn't meant to insult anyone's belief system just the science that is available to us now. Just FYI

See, simply because your mother is light skinned does not disprove it as races have mixed so many times it is pointless and you will get the odd one out.

I think I see the problem with your thinking. The idea of adaptation doesn't necessarily suggest full evolution, if that's why you are refusing it. You can even test adaptation on a smaller scale.

My biggest issue with what your post is that article you posted. If you had any idea what it was saying you would understand that it suggested black people were not the same species as white people, which is completely wrong in an Islamic point of view and Scientific.

That's so wrong it hurts my head. You do realize that's not how it worked right? Humans migrated out of Africa... NOT into Africa....so it can't be the other way around. There's a reason that black skin is dominant and white skin is recessive like blue eyes and brown eyes.

What advantage would a pearly white have in Africa?

That site is racist as hell :lmao:

Where is your proof that humans migrated out from Africa??? People just adapt to regions they live in.

I remember reading somewhere that the children of Adam had different skin colours because of the different varieties of clay/soil that were used to create Adam. I may be wrong

I agree with what you are saying here, but I think many of you are misinterperating the meaning behind "turning" White or black.

It's not that a black person moves somewhere cold and "becomes" white. This sort of thing happens (either way) through genetics and enviroment.

What I mean is if A black mother and father move from Africa to say Russia and then continue their lineage there, over time their grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and so on will naturally begin to be born of lighter complexions due to living in such a cold environment generation after generation. This would, obviously take many, many generations to achieve.

But no, folks just don't turn another skin pigment by simply moving to another climate. It takes decades of natural acclimation and breeding before the pigment begins to change in the skin color of any lineage.

My proof is for you to pick up a damn science book or google "Lucy" or "homo sapiens" or anything. This isn't something that needs to be linked... it something that should be known. I cant believe some of you actually believe it was white then black... but it was black then white. White genes would be dominant because they aren't the "mutated" genes...... but they're not

Exactly.

I've said it like 5x. There is a REASON that black genes are dominant over white genes. There would be an entire f*ck up within the genetic make-up. Everyone knows that dominant genes will cover recessive genes and recessive genes are usually the genes that are mutated. This helps us from diseases and other types of genetic mutation while developing within the womb.

It is something that needs to be linked. First human fossils found in Africa does not mean humanity started in Africa. I did not say "it was white then black". I made a statement, but in the end I said "although I personally believe both skin colors existed to begin with."

My mother isn't the only who's white. You can find millions of Arabs who are white, despite inhabiting a region of heated desert.

The idea of adaptation is transforming to a new environment. The problem with the idea of humans originating from Africa is, as pointed out, that whites or blacks adapting to heated regions will not transform their skin colour. A black person from Africa going to Europe will not change his/her skin colour, same with white person from Europe going to Africa will not change his/her skin colour, despite adapting to a new temperature. That is the same concept of human traces recording back to Africa. Humans would have to somehow change skin colour as soon as they migrate to Europe or anywhere to the North, which is impossible by nature.

My biggest issue with what your post is that article you posted. If you had any idea what it was saying you would understand that it suggested black people were not the same species as white people, which is completely wrong in an Islamic point of view and Scientific.

I apologize for the link. Didn't really read it until now, but yeah it was racist. :lol

Why would I link it when it's already been something included in your 6th grade science book? Why would I link it when it is some basic knowledge? If you want proof then a quick google search can help you. "First humans fossil were found but it doesnt mean it started"... You do realize a lot of things have been found in Africa? You do realize that's why it's called the "mother land"? YOU ALSO DO NEED TO REALIZE that some of the OLDEST human fossils have been found Africa which says a lot.

God you are dense and I'm done with you after this. If you really need to taught on dominant and recessive genes... then...lordy lord

You have a poor understanding on how evolution happens. Obviously a flying dinosaur isn't going to just get smaller or grow feathers as soon as their leave their natural habitat but OVER TIME AND VERY LONG TIME..... these dinosaurs adapt to their new enviroment. No one just changes as soon as they leave. Evolution is a very very long process and humans are still going through evolution till this day. Evolution doesn't happen in a few years or centuries...it takes thousands of years...bro

So yes, if a white family Russia moved to Africa and stayed there then the generations will adapt to Africa's enviroment... Vice Versa.....That's what evolution is. Adapting to new enviroments to further continue a species.

I agree with what you posted here. I too believe that both skin pigmentation existed together. We simply found some of the oldest human fossils in Africa. That' doesn't give us conclusive evidence that, without a doubt, all human life began in Africa.

To that extent, Africa had a much different climate then it does today (though I am sure it is still somewhat similar). there have been many findings that the enviroments of all countries have gone through drastic climate and environmental changes throughout human existence.

Africa could have been a very cold place when the first of humanity was created/evolved. SO it is very possible that Africans then where white in some areas and black in other areas of Africa. Let's not forget that there are "White" Africans

C'mon now keep it civil. He/She (sorry Kiara don't know your gender  ) meant no disrespect (far as I could tell)Kiara brings up a debatable subject. Yes the oldest human fossils on record to date were found in Africa, but the thing about science is there are always new discoveries. You never know-they may find an even older sample of humans in Asia, or even Alaska at some point completely debunking that Africa was indeed the cradle of life.

That can be true, but really depends on how you define skin colour. Racial skin colour varies even if they fall under the skin colour. Africans, Arabs, Indians can all be black but differ in colour.
