That's it with most cases.

Some people are lucky enough to have jobs that pay really well though and they could still make it through the month with 1 parent working.
Some cases both working is barely enough to pay for the month.
Sometimes, they both work and your family is just plain rich.

The "Traditional" root we never truly concrete in American or even Western Society. Two world wars and human rights movements solidified a woman's role in the work force, the idea of the working man and his stay-at-home wife has all but become one of many home dynamics that exist today. Not one standard fits all, it's what ever works best for each individual situation.

No , i don't think it's necessary , if they can balance it between work and family life .
my father and mother both worked so most of the time that made them not spend time with me and my sis so i think , if they can find a balance it's okay or it's will be unfair to their kids .
