Do we need fillers?

Fillers are non-canon......they are just meant to prolong anime and give enough time for kishi to draw manga

they are the best if u want to go deep into characters but should be made with very care so that it doesn't make you feel worse that's all

Plasticangel is correct here fillers usually prevent the anime from catching up to the manga so it won't hit a point on non production. Its a marketing technique to keep the anime sales up whlie the manga ka works on the cannon story.

Some fillers actually kill ratings though. My favorite manga ruroni kenshin had an awesome anime but filler episodes destroyed the ratings so they lost funding and the final(and best in my opinion) arc was neveer animated.

Conclusion: fillers are a nessisary evil

I don't mind the fillers. Some of them (Chikara, Three Tails and the current filler arc) were/are pretty good.
But I think that if they used the filler space to show some back-story on certain characters/villages/clans/groups, it'll be better. But that just me.

some filler are okay..like the next filler shows us a bit of Anbu Itachi,Anbu Kakashi...now that's nice. However 95% of all Naruto Fillers are just garbage..I raher have no Episodes for 4 Months and have a bit more quality animation than filler...even if the filler episodes are interesting like the one we have now.

Fillers are not bad if they are short and used to develop a character more but not good if they are too long and really boring like 'kon kon' kid and that talking ostrich. U_U My hopes are high for Itachi's ANBU fillers though. *waiting for Shisui's appearance*

I totally agree but the anime production company's wouldn't lol

Hiatus=less people watchin=less money. In the end that's all the production company cares for. They don't make anime to entertain us they make it so fans of the manga will spend more money.

Although it could also hurt them to make bad fillers just as much(as I pointed out in my previous post) its still more profitable to produce fillers than take a breeak
