Do Walmart's cameras record at night?

I have a friend who takes merchandise from our local Walmart and never gets caught. It makes me wonder if they are even recording footage at night.

Can somebody who actually knows about this stuff please tell me.

some walmarts are different from others. Many around where I live have shit security.I stole headphones, memory cards and other small things I can fit in my pocket. I would bring a box cutter with me and cut the merchandise out of the box. I stole some games displayed and headsets like that too.

Walmart doesn't care they about 13 cents a product in most cases. You're friend managed to make them waste $1.20 good for him.

I used to steal toys, pad-locks and shit like that from walmart.. there's a blind spot in the cameras inbetween two isle.

The only camera they watch is over electronics dept. God forbid you try to still one of their sh*tty laptops or overpriced televisions. Otherwise they have "secret shoppers" and a parking lot patrol dude.

Actually they kinda do. I worked there for 5 years and they have a very small manager's office with a few screens in it. Given that there are usually at least 3 assistant managers on the clock at any given time, it's reasonable to assume at least one of them is back there. Weather or not they are screwing around, on the phone, or simply not paying attention is a different matter though.

It depends on the hours the AP manager is scheduled. If they're scheduled it will be till close but most business have losses estimated in the budget. So I know Wal-Mart does for when the AP manager isn't there.
