The child of prophecy is described as being Jiraiya's student. A person who will lead the world to either properity or destruction and that Jiraiya would have to make a choice at some point in his life.
Sasuke can't qualify because the child of prophecy is directly linked to Jiraiya and his teachings.

Sasuke has never been associated with as the child of prophecy, the manga has been very clear on who earns that title.

Madara has nothing to do with prophecies !!!! He can call anyone the ****ing savior of the world and it wont mean anything. It was the great toad sage who knows about the prophecy, not Hashirama's fanboy, Madara.

The child of prophecy is a student of Jiraiya, the Great Toad Sage corrected himself and said that the children of prophecy were both Naruto and Nagato.
Obito is not Jiraiya's student and can't be the child of prophecy, that's it.

Madara is not the one who decides who the child of prophecy is, that is the Toad Sage's call as he had the prophecy in the first place.
Naruto and Nagato together made the child of prophecy the Toad Sage established this.

The Great Toad Sage didn't mention Minato, but he was considered one by Jiraiya, take that as you wish.
