Itachi was stronger that Orochimaru before death so I'd assume Edo-Itachi is stronger than Kabuto, who was weaker than Orochimaru. Of course, this is excluding whatever other alterations Kabuto's made to himself along with the implanting of Orochimaru's cells.

The thing is, kabuto can't seal itachi, because if he does then the rest of the edo's are sealed too, that's why itachi quoted "he is the perfect person to stop kabuto"

there is no way he can seal itachi without risking his military power, kabuto's only hope is to beat itachi in battle and seal him.
