First we don't know much about madara and izuna's relationship. But I disagree to the fact where people started saying that he loves izuna more then itachi loves sasuke. Hashirama said that but he didn't have much knowledge on itachi and that's y he said what he said.

Madara took izuna's eyes but itachi gave his. He became a villain for Sasuke he lived his life as a criminal so Sasuke could become a hero and much more
