Do summons die or they just vanish and resurect??

what happens to summons when they sustain deadly blows from their opponents??

they vanish and get healed. remember gamabunta resting after pain invasion?

Vanish they leave before they can get killed...

If they leave they haven't been inflicted enough damage to kill them.

When they die in battle they don't go back - like when Sasuke got Manda killed

They vanish if they were summoned and hit with a good blow, but they should be able to be killed if their home is attacked. For example, if Deidara blew up Mt. Myoboku, toads will go bye bye.

well if you have the ability to disappear and go back to your territory wouldn't you just do so when you're about to get hit by a lethal blow??

yeah summons do just that 'coz they'll die if got hit by enough damage like when Manda got killed by Deidara's explosion​

another example is when Danzo killed that Frog that was supposed to tell naruto to come back to village during pain invasion.

Gamamaru if I remember correctly treated Gamabunta after he was defeated by Pein.

If They die during battle they die forever.
Thats why when they are low on chakra or hurt severely they disappear.

Manda is an example of dying during battle and not coming back

also pa(naruto frog summon) died by pein and even needed to be revived by Nagato...


They die for real.

It's tricky, some go back when they get hurt. But the kuchiyose who have recived serious damage have not recovered.

Pa got killed by pain and he was not healed nor did he disappear. Manda was damaged by Tsunade and he said he would be sipping soup for weeks.

I think the ones tha get hurt and disappear end the kuchiyose by themselves. Instead of staying to die. We have to remember these animals live in some place and just have a contract, they surely can die IMO

Summons are living creatures. A killing blow can kill the summon. For instance, Manda (Sasuke vs Deidara).
