Sarada didn't take the meal from boruto to be nice. Nor is she in love with him or anything stupid. She has some ulterior motive. My guess is that she is trying to track him.
If you read it, you can see that she is trying to get him to eat it but not for the reasons you would think. It would seem she saw boruto with the meal and had a plan. This is what would allow them to go slowly as they would know where naruto is and won't have to keep up with his immense speed. See she tells chou chou that now they can go slow. and in the previous page, they are running as fast as they can because after he has eaten it, it doesn't really matter how fast they go.
My guess is that she placed something in the meal that will allow her to track him. Kind of like yamato did once.
But how would they track him without naruto realizing? Naruto activated sage mode to keep track of them because he already sensed her outside his door. The way I see it, he will probably send them home or have a clone take them home and have no need to keep sage mode on. That way sarada can just start tracking him at her own speed using whatever she made him eat.
So it would seem sarada just used boruto to get what she wanted. Or maybe she thought it was a win win situation.
