Obviously, its harder to hit a flying target that it is a grounded one simply because its flying.

Kakashi even told naruto when he was chasing deidara, that he had no chance against him. This is because naruto was primarily a close range fighter and he had a VERY limited arsenal at that time.

Now obviously current, or even kcm/bm mode naruto would likely own deidara due to his much improved arsenal.

Give me one example of a flying character who got a clean victory simply because he could fly. Its just as hard as hitting an opponent on the ground. It still depends on the opponent's speed/skill and we both know who rules in this area.

How is he many times superior? Yes he's smarter and alot more analytical, but again, he has no means of hitting a flying target. Again FTG kunai gets countered by sand shuriken.

You want to know another bad match up for Minato?

Deidara.

And this is for the same reasons Gaara is.

Flight, large scale/large radius jutsu.

It does the same thing a regular kunai does. Its not faster. Sand counters kunai.

No, a kunai is much faster than a clay stuff. minato has precision & speed on his side while Dei, who is all offense, can only attack in waves w/ intervals in between.
