i have been dwelling on this for awhile now.if the god tree is the root of all chakra, is there more chakra being released to the world since kaguyas time or is the planetary amount unchanging? If the latter, does that mean that the farther humans in NV get from kaguyas decedents, the less they have?

The first law of thermodynamics states that energy can't be created nor destroyed...just something to think about

Maybe the people on the battle field absorbed it or it could be thats how her army be so strong *momo*. I dont think that the net gen have more chakra because shikimaru's child gave up in the fight between him and boruto if he did have more chakra then he wouldnt give up :sdo:

Well, if we base in Thermodynamic it means that NV chakra will never increase or decrease , it will only transform from One way to another !

I wouln't think so judging on how boruto's chakra pool doesn't even come close to Naruto's when he was his age, but I think their bodies are more used to chakra and thus making the new generation better at using chakra but that's just a theory.

This is a very good thread.

I personally think sometimes yes they have less and sometimes no for example:
Hagoromos power got split in half(Indra,Ashura).
At this rate they had less chakra since Ashura had RSM but no Rinnegan and Rinnesharingan.
So if power gets split then some descendants are usually weaker, but by mixing D.N.A they get stronger chakra.

Another point:You can become op by training.
Hashirama was stronger than his father, not only cuz he was a incarnation but he trained hard and the chakra bloomed in him,but he wasn't ever able to reach his full potential since he didn't take Madara's eyes
Still he had an OP chakra.

Some people are born with strong chakra either because they're gifted or because they're Senjus/Uzumaki.

Still even if Sasuke was a reincarnation he had to train hard and get EMS to keep up with Obito and KM Naruto.
Same goes for Naruto.
So being a incarnation doesn't make you very very op,except giving you a chance to awake a dojutsu if you mix your power with the opposite reincarnation.

About Boruto I don't know...
Kid Naruto chakra level vs Kid Boruto? Not sure.

Exactly.i didn't want to make the entire premise of the thread about real world physics so I didn't elaborate. The question is whether the god tree is still transferring energy or if it was just with kaguya.

Well that depends on what have been mixed.

For Naruto and Sasuke's case, their children will never be close to their power or chakra pool for that matter. In cases where parents are both mediocre, it's possible. Look at Shikidai, Shikamaru has an average pool but in the Exams he could barely keep up the shadow possession jutsu over a period of time. Meanwhile Shikidai was capable of using it off and on without any signs of trouble, and he even invented an expanding shadow technique thanks to his mother.

One legendary (Naruto) + One Average (Hinata) = Above average

Average (Shikamaru) + Average but slightly better than the other (Shikamaru) = Above Average

Though usually the legendary and one average shinobi will eventually surpass the 'average + average' shinobi over time.

Sidenote: what happens to chakra when ninja die?

They address this sort of sh!t in Bleach :/

As far as I know. If a ninja dies. Their chakra ceases to exist. It dies with them as their chakra is a bi-product of their mind/spiritual energy synchronizing with their physical energy. UNLESS you are from Kaguya to Indra & Ashura tier as they and their chakra were so powerful that it latched on to transmigrants and cannot be destroyed. The clans keep the balance of chakra relatively stable atm e.g Ino-Shika-Cho lineages.

So much shit to take into consideration though and this fluctuates due to Godly interventions. The new are supposed to surpass the old but that doesn't happen unless the old intervene with power-ups for the new.

Thread got me like

I don't think that anyone can surpass Naruto and Hashirama's chakra level.

I don't know about the other kids, but Sarada probably has a bigger chakra pool than Sakura and Sasuke at that age. And if weren't for the Kyuubi, Boruto would have a bigger chakra pool than Naruto too.

No, generations don't have any cause and effect relationship with amount of chakra.

Comparing Naruto and Boruto doesn't work that well, Naruto chakra is mixed with Kurama chakra, so Naruto has 2 chakra himself and Kurama, while Boruto only has himself only.

That like comparing a tourch with 1 battery while the other tourch has 2 battery, the 2 battery has more energy.

They can Increase their amount and potency with training.

Dead people take their chakra with them to the afterlife (Wonder how Kaguya planned to unite all chakra when a lot of people died?)

Chakra seems to be similar to RL energy...converting into different forms of energy...(Like how people can consume food to regain some chakra)

Naruto was a Jinchuuriki.

Kagebunshin is forbidden due to chakra cost...and Boruto can make three...You would have to Judge him from an average Ninja viewpoint, not against a Bijuu holder.
