Do kekkei Genkai elements have a weakness ?

Yeah, Ice style was weak to fire, explosion is weak to lightning. Theoretically the major element's weakness in the kkg would be the kkg's weakness, but i'm sure Kishi changes weaknesses for specific ones.

Yeah, people are misunderstanding that quote. You'd probably just have to overpower each Kekkei Genkai element with other techniques; there are probably elemental weaknesses, but none that are known as of yet.

theoretically yeah, some kg should be strong against others.for example, earth and water- mokuton should be strong vs water and fire- boil release, or say earth plus fire- lava should be strong vs water plus wind- ice release. i suppose that could be true.

Wood is weak to fire. Dust release is a kekkai totta which means three elements. They are wind, fire and earth. Wind would counter lightning, fire would counter wind and earth would counter water. So every possible element is part of the jutsu or countered by it. Perhaps that's why they decided they needed one dust release user to fight another.

I think it's whatever you'd think it's weakness would be, only highly magnified. For example, it's commonly thought fire release is the counter to ice release, however Haku proved otherwise. It must be remembered though that that was very early in the series. Powerful katon techniques, like Great Fire Annihilation, would have a higher chance of blasting right through ice release. Dust release might be a little difficult to determine as it doesn't really have a physical form that's counterable. Additionally, it atomizes whatever becomes trapped within it.

Wood's weakness is Electricity. Earth < Electricity. Electricity = Water. Water + Earth < Electricity.

When did Itachi become a know it all. "Every jutsu has a weakness." He may not always be right? Does anyone else at all think this? Dust Release has no weakness. Typewise, it is very sound.
