Do humans as a species stay as kids the longest

I guess the best way to define a kid in this sense is the period of time before an animal hits sexual maturity. For a human, that's somewhere in their early teens but it depends on the person. From a google search I found that there were other animals like certain tortoises or the Nile Crocodile that reach maturity at around 13-16 years?
