do edos count

When debating in vs threads or whatever, should you count Edo Tensei as part of a persons traits?

Like Edo Minato for example, or Edo Hashirama, they get no upgrades like Madara did.


Or do you count it as their time of death? Like Minato had Kyuubi mode before death.


But Itachi was basically blind and had no stamina before death.


so, what is it?

I don't count Edos as someone else's power. Other summons you work for and sign a contract which is different from reanimating the dead and brainwashing them.

I count them as part of someone's arsenal. Whether it's their power or not is irrelevant, they can still use them as they please.

I don't count individual Edos, seeing as how they're brought about through a Jutsu. It would be like putting Manda on a Top Ten list.

But the only thing that changes is indestruciblility and chakra reserves. So KCM Minato and Edo KCM minato are not that different

If you debate two characters it is before Edo tensei.

For example Minato vs Kakuzu (just tossing a name).

This would be Minato just before he died at the series start. But I would not include KCM because he was already dying, and never could have used the lower. It took the 16ish years in the reaper to do so.

The only way you do that is say Edo Minato vs Kakuzu. That way you indicate what state they are fighting in. Naturally you could set a limiter such as the Edo can die.


Finally when gauging a top 10 Edo Tensei should count because it is someone's summon. While it may seem cheap for a solo...it must be understood it is someone controlling another person's abilities...these pseudo-owning them...or one could say an extremely special cloning tech.

They're summons. As said before, it's like putting Enma in the Top 10.

I would only count them if the (alive) person is on like Naruto's level and is able to seal. But with beng said, I would not count Madara seeing as to how he was enhanced greatly.

In normal 1v1 situations, they shouldn't be counted though.
