[PS2] Do duplicate CD's work?

I have been planning on get a Playstation 2 next month to spend some time playing games during summer vacations. So I know several shops which sell duplicate version of the PS2 games or you can call them pirated. My question is, will those duplicate CD's work or not?

If the pirated C.D's are brought from road shops or low profile shops, then they might not work. It's better to buy the original C.D. Pirated C.D's are 60% cheaper than the originals if they work. The best place to buy such C.D's are game shops that you trust in my opinion.

That's because I got a long list of games which I would like to buy for the PS2 which I want to buy. And I don't want to spend too much money by buying original discs.. So I choose duplicate.

You can buy the originals of the games that you like the most. Moreover most pirated games nowadays have CD Keys which might cause problems. Another option is to download games.

They are like PS3 like games except for some games in Hitman series which I play on my laptop O_O

And check the net before you post some games lol

From what I know, you can buy them just make sure you have the original game bought. I think it's okay to have a copy as long as you have the original. I know that is what happened with the GB/GBA/NDS systems and probably applies to the other console systems. If you had an old PS3 you could have modified it and could download the game files and transferred it from your pc to your console. I think they were called ELF files or something.

And I am not intending to buy original discs of PS2 z.z

Hey it works ofcourse ..... Illegal for sure
But it does but gets corrupted fast coz of low quality cds ... better cd quality make it good but still illegal

Just bring your ps2 to the place, If your gonna buy they'll probably be fine with you testing them out there. Just say you might buy a couple if it works they're money hungry so more than likely they'll say yes.
