Do Christians get a bad rep?

It's not his fault he thinks that way; It's his experience with religious people. I think along the same lines. Religion may have started off as a way to unite people, but that is not what it does. Religious people (I.e Christians, Catholics, Jews, and Muslims) tend to reject people who don't agree with their views, and they especially hate when people try to challenge their views. What it basically comes down to is the fact that many of their minds are no greater than one book.
Also before people try to say "Let them believe what they want to believe," that does not apply to them. Religious people have no rights to try to use their religion to change state/ country laws. It's no ok for a christian to tell me that I can't marry another man because HIS god forbade it. I shouldn't have my rights restricted because of what others believe, which is how it is EVERYWHERE.
It's not just Christians; Religious people as a whole get a bad rep because most of the time they use their religion to restrict the rights of people who don't agree/believe what they do. Religion as a whole is a bad thing.
Christians are all the same. They talk like they are perfect people, but turn around and do the same thing that everyone else does. And then what happens? They stand in front of their christen fellow friends and repent for their wrong doing and then do it all over again next day. Please.

Sorry but you are beyond wrong. Just because you came across a few bad ones does not mean you can condemn an entire religion.
You sound hurt. That's not religion, that's humanity for ya bruh.
Lol why would I be hurt? I just find it funny that Christians can judge people on how they should live their lives when they themselves do the same things we "worldly people"(look at that, they even gave us a name) do, but only show support to your little "God" when you are in front of your Christian peers. Talk about being fake.

You judge and attack us when no one attacked you while you force your beliefs. Christians do not operate that way. Hypocrites who claim to be Christians operate that way....big difference. You purposely attacking to create an argument in which a Christian rages so you can say haha I proved my point. Childish things like "cant handle my words" are obvious indicators of someone just trying to start something. You so far have been the least reasonable person for no good reason really. You don't have to be a Christian to act with the least bit of sense and cordiality, yet if anyone religious treats you the same way you are treating christians right now they will be considered a crazed bible toting individual with a limited hypocritical mind when you yourself act the same way...that's the only part I don't understand.

PS: Christians are allowed to get angry as long as they do not sin from it.

I dislike the fact that some do push their beliefs on you. But then again, that is only a small number of people I've met, or spoken to. I rest respect you for you, not what you following.

I can agree with this.
The majority of Christians I know are hypocrites. They go around preaching and condemning others for living the way they do; yet they are no better and do just as many "worldly" things as the rest of us.
OT: If Christians could stop trying to force others to accept their beliefs then their rep may improve. They also try to act so perfect and "saved" and yet possess as many (if not more) flaws than the rest of us. They should know that being so self-righteous is regarded as a sin in their own bible. Just because you pray to a magical man in the sky doesn't make you better than anyone else.

Christians was known to alter the bible's original scripts. To Judaism and Islam, your rep is not as what you think it is.
One thing you need to understand about Christians. Is that NONE of us are perfect. If ANYONE believes otherwise, they are not Christian. If they act otherwise, then they may not be Christian.
Christianity in fact, believes the OPPOSITE. That ALL human beings are IMPERFECT. That we are ALL sinners in need of redemption. And that only through the sacrifice the ONLY perfect human being, Jesus can we be redeemed.(Jesus is also much much more than just a human, he is God who humbled himself to be a lowly human being)
And only by TRULY believing and serving in Jesus, as GOD, can we be redeemed through his sacrifice. We are still sinners once redeemed. We still make mistakes, and sin. However we know it is wrong, and it hurts us everytime we do so, because we know it is wrong.
Sadly there are fake Christians out there, who do not truly believe in Jesus and serve him, and they just think they have a "do anything I want and get out of jail free" card. All the while acting like they are self righteous. Sadly these people actually think they are Christians.
Do you actually know what repentance is? It is not just " oh im sorry I did this, I wont do it again".
It is ACTION. It starts with a apology(confession of wrongdoing). Then you go and repair the damage you have done. Then you go and DONT do it again. Then finally takeing steps to avoid being tempted again.
That is not to say you may not make a mistake and do the same thing again. You are not perfect and mistakes will happen.
Let me use a example of a cheating husband.
If he truly repents this is what he does:
He confesses to his wife what he did wrong, and asks for forgiveness. He promises to not do it again.
She may or may not forgive him.
He goes to the person he cheated with, and completely ends the relationship. He completely shuts it down, with no hope of it ever starting up again.
He then takes steps to make sure he is never alone with another woman again, so he will not be tempted.
He then works on repairing his relationship with his wife that he damaged.
The difference between real Christians repenting and struggleing in their sin, and fake Christians, falsely repenting works like 2 meth addicts.
1 Just tells people he is sorry, and continues to do meth. He doesnt care that doing meth is wrong. He just does it anyways.
The other actually goes to meth addiction programs, and tries and tries to overcome his addiction. He knows doing meth is wrong, and does everything he can to stop doing it. He is struggling. Maybe he is not making any progress. But he is genuinely trying.
Christians sin. But the genuinely try to stop sin, and fully realize it is wrong.
Christians are not any better than Non Christians. We are both sinners. We are the same as criminals in jail for crimes. The only difference is We(christians) are being set free amd brought to the palace.
you remain in jail while we are free. We are still both criminals. We both are not worthy of being set free. Yet the same offer that set me free is available to you. All you have to do is accept it.
To conclude. There are plenty of fake Christians who claim to be Christians for various reasons. Maybe it is a society thing. Maybe it is because they were raised that way. Maybe it is just a social place to hang out with friends. Who knows?
We actual Christians are far from perfect. And we will say so. However the only thing we have over you, is we are redeemed. And you can be redeemed as well.
I certainly am not any better than any of you. I am just as bad or worse.
