Hashirama doesn't count. He's Ashura's incarnation ie the younger som of the Sage himself. Hashirama was always destined to become immensely powerful. Naruto has surpassed him though.

They are stronger due to being present in a war look at izuna, tobirama and muu>oonoki and 3rd raikage>ay
Regardless that saying doesn't apply in every situation is what I'm saying and clearly not when hiruzen was a teen and tobirama was a grown adult

The viz already confirmed that Hiruzen thought he was the strongest of the group-including Tobirama.
Well with that single squirt gun and unimpressive Suiton feats, I can tell Prime Hiruzen would have been better, stronger, and more skilled. People overhype Tobirama for nothing, when this guy's feats are lackluster. He was killed by Bounty Hunters, for Godsake, when he had FTG at his disposal. That tells one something.

The group of bounty hunters were obviously elite shinobi, likely led by Kinkaku and Ginkaku (especially since they know Tobirama was dead). They themselves attacked Tobirama and the 2nd Raikage during a peace treaty, and Tobirama was the only one said to have survived (particularly since they were aware of who the 3rd Raikage was). KinGin + 18 other elite bounty hunters threatened to take out Tobirama's whole group.

- All unimpressive Suiton techniques before Mei and Kisame's. The rest of the techniques, have been mastered and used better by others bar the exploding tags.
- He was called the fastest because of FTG. Something Minato was notorious for as well.
- Solo-ed Izuna? I don't think so, when Madara explicitly stated that he was a man who simply took advantage of things. We only saw the killing blow and have no clue where Izuna's skilled lay. It's nothing but an assumption then.
- Oh please. Sasuke took a battle stance. Nothing to do with what you implied.
- Doesn't matter what they were, they were still mere Jounin. Kin and Gin were beaten fairly easily even when they were using 9 Tails chakra. Not sure what's so special about them. And you have no proof they were even there - nothing but an assumption.
Still not impressed.

You're comparing Old fragile Ohnoki to Mu? You don't know what Ohnoki was like in his prime. Not sure why you mentioned Izuna, don't even know any of his abilities. Tobirama has been surpassed, Ay surpassed his father in speed.
Hashirama is not stronger due to being in war, he's the freaking Sage of six paths sons reincarnate. Same goes for Madara, he's the eldest son. They were destined to be beyond powerful. But kishi has always put heavy emphasis on the next generation surpassing the previous, Madara and Hashirama are just special cases.

-Tobirama used two of those in pt.1 before the powerscaling. They are still powerful jutsus and in his possession.
-He was also surprised that Minato's Body Flicker was faster.
-Quite the hypocrite.
-Again, Sasuke wasn't so cocky anymore. He was acting like he was the strongest in the room.
-Kakashi and Gai are "mere Jonin," and Kinkaku was the only one that resorted his Kyuubi form, to which he started dominating an entire division by himself and it required some deus ex machina to stop him.
- It's the power-scaling I am talking about. Still pedestrian.
- So? You refereed to something else - a different Speed comparison.

- He was there to talk about Konoha's past, so this doesn't make a crock of sense. Try to stay relevant.
- Go and reread the manga again, and especially the Kin and Gin fight part.
