DNA and Nagato

So this past chapter made it clear that DNA had nothing to do with the Rinnegan, it was just the combined chakra of Asura and Indra in one vessel that caused the mutation. This means that just by getting Hashirama's cells stuck in him Sasuke can't get the Rinnegan, and also that does not exclude Naruto from getting the Rinnegan since he has neither Uchiha nor (full) Senju DNA (but this is neither here nor there, as I expect both of them to get the Rinnegan from the sage for the final fight). This also explains why Obito didn't get the Rinnegan from being injected with Hashirama's cells.

But my question is this: how in gods name did Nagato awaken the Rinnegan? He didn't have Asura's chakra (stated by the sage that Hashirama was Naruto's predecessor) nor did he have Indra's chakra (actually he might have had a little of Indra's chakra coming from Madaras eyes, but you get the point). Thoughts?

Madara's eyes awakened the Rinnegan due to Indra and Ashura's chakra. Even if those eyes went to Nagato, the chakra of both were still present in the eyes. Thus, both Nagato and Obito have the Rinnegan because both Indra and Ashura's chakra are still present in the eyes.

The eyes he put into Nagato were his original eyes, which didn't have the rinnegan...so the answer is yes, I do read, hence why I was able to pick up on the fact that the eyes Madara were using at VOTE we Izuna's, not his, which means that he had the Rinnegan in those eyes, not the originals that he implanted in Nagato.

The EMS eyes were the only eyes he had. When they get EMS an Uchiha's original eyes "merge" with the transplanted eyes to make EMS.

What in the actual fuck are you talking about?

There's no ''original'' eyes to begin with, Mads EMS transformed into rinnegan when he was an elder and transplanted them to Nagato, by the time Obito met Madara, he only had one 3tomoe sharingan which he stated was stolen. His ''original'' eyes were in Nagato.

Izuna's MS- Izuna's original set of eyes which were used by Madara to form EMS. Since the EMS had Indra and Ashura Chakra. This caused it to become Rinnegan and passed on to Obito and Nagato.

What happened to Madara's original eyes is still unknown, Dattebayo!

Weren't his original eyes implanted in Nagato though? Obito said that's what happened when he was talking to Konan. From that I gathered that Madara kept Izuna's eyes in his sockets.
