It doesn't need to last 5 minutes, Gai can just redo the steps over and over again. Or he can just wait till Kakashi attacks to blitz him.

And EE only caused recoil in the beginning, Gai was able to continue doing it repeatedly after that, as seen when he finished the 5 steps with no interruptions unlike the first time.

It still causes recoil. He just ignored the pain. After theach fifth punch it cut to Naruto. The next time we see him he's panting, coughing and vomiting blood. No he can't redo the steps over again. At least not back to back.

Jubidara struggled to hit weakened Obito(using his intangibility jutsu) and he is on par in physical speed with 8 gated Gai, simply because intangibility activation has nothing to do with reaction speed. In this chapter, the fastest character in the manga(Naruto) had difficulties to dodge the chakra arms that he called "insanely" fast, yet Kakashi in his flying Susanoo was capable not only to intercept and catch Sakura before a 2 cm chakra arm touches her, but goes out of the way. Logically speaking this Kakashi has enough reaction speed feats to be capable to react to 8 gated Gai. But even if he couldn't, he doesn't need to. You don't need to perceive your opponent to know how to maintain intangibility

Where did you get the bold from? And it has everything to do with reaction speed. If you can't react to an attack, you won't be able to use anything, that includes intangibility. Naruto didn't show any difficulties dodging the chakra arms either, he just said they are insanely fast. So I don't see how being faster than those chakra arms means he can react to Eighth Gate Gai's speed, especially since faster people have been blitzed by slower things. Example? Juubito blitzed KCM Naruto. Naruto is faster than Kakashi and Juubito is slower than Gai.

Technically, using Intangibility is still the same thing as running to the other dimension. Since all it is is sending your body parts to the other dimension and not actually existing in the current dimension. So not sure how warping to kamui dimension is any different.
