So, from what I recall, you want to learn Earth? Excellent choice.

Alright, before we get started, may I know why particularly you wanted to learn Earth?

I'm just really interested in learning earth. I find it one of the most interesting basic 5. I'd like to master them all, but since earth was my favorite, I chose to start with that. c:

You have to tell me why Earth is your favorite. O: I want to know all about it!
Also, if you do know, tell me its weaknesses and strengths, and how you might utilize it to your advantage.

I just see it as the most useful. It can be used very defensively, shields, domes, armor, etc. But also offensively, spikes, swords, etc. And can even be used as transportation, and to completely change the landscape of a battle ground. ^_^ I think earth makes a good foundation(no pun intended) as a first element because from there someone could learn fire and then lava which is very effective. ^^

And earth is weak against lightning, however strong against water.

Hm...good response. Basically, the limit of earth is your own creativity. You can mold it to your advantage, make anything you wish, and as you stated, take advantage of the battlefield. O_O And it's either I'm too tired or I didn't get the pun. Are you making lava a goal?

Now, take this rock and get a good feel for it by running your chakra through it.

(You know this is my first training, I'm trying my best with everything I do, bare with me if i'm bad or wrong often... >.>)
I take the rock in my hand and flow my chakra through the rock.
"I feel like using my chakra, I can use the rock to make a lot of things. So it's malleable.. Like changeable or can easily be used to make new things.."

Good response.
You are precisely correct, Earth is much like mold, and can easily be used to your advantage in such a manner.
So, let's start simple then.
Focus your chakra through that once more, and picture whatever you want in your mind. Mold it into that shape.
Create something offensive, defensive, and one more item that can be whatever you like.

I study the rock in my hand. I flow my chakra into it and using both hands I form it into a crude kunai looking blade and I continue working on it until it looks more like a real kunai. And then i continue to mold it into a small shield that goes onto to fore arm.

And then I mold it into something that looks a lot like an explosive ball and tosses it to you. "hot potato!" i yell and run. ^^

(Doton No Jutsu) - Earth Release Technique

Descripton: Creates small pillars of earth, small tools, and small shields of earth

Alright, now let's dive fully into the Earth Element. For this next jutsu, I want you to send your Earth chakra within yourself and then become one with the Earth by sinking fully into it. Once you have, I will then place my clone on the place where you were originally. Then stick your hands out of the Earth, grab my clone around his legs, and then pull him deep into the Earth while pulling yourself out at the exact moment.

"Okay.." I say.
I first flow my earth chakra into my feet and legs and slowly sink into the ground. I use a little bit more chakra and go in even quicker until i'm all the way under ground. Then I wait for your lone to appear and I force my hands out of the earth, and grab it by the ankles and quickly yank it underground. Using the force of pulling it, I let myself slide out of the earth slowly, and standing upright.

(Doton: Shinju Zanshu no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique

Description: The user, emerging from the ground below the target area, pulls down the opponent so that only their head is above ground. Unable to move, the opponent can easily be decapitated or tortured.

Let us move on. Using the same concept you used to create your ,I want you now to create a staff out of this small rock here…Remember to channel your chakra through it and "mold" like clay.
After you create that staff, proceed to throw it at my clone here.

I take the rock and flow my chakra into it. Pulling it and shaping it. Letting it elongate to about 3 and a half feet in length not including the spear head. I then proceed to immediately pivot, and throw it straight into the chest of a clone.

Imagine you and an opponent both holding a staff with two hands, locked against one another, balancing enough weight so that you guys are basically equal in power, pushing against one another.
You can then release your power, forcing him to tumble towards you so that you can strike his chest. Dunno, it's a short ranged weapon, so it's up to you to utilize it.

Description: This technique allows the user to take a small chunk of rock and turn it into the shape of a staff. The user can then use it as a melee weapon or throw it with pinpoint accuracy at their opponent. A variation of this technique allows the user to create several staffs and launch them at the target, but with less accuracy.

Moving on. Once again, we'll be dealing with the technique of releasing your chakra into the ground.
For this jutsu, I would you like to send your Earth chakra into the ground and then focus on lifting sections of the Earth to move them around my clone.
Think of my clone as the hot dog and your rocks as the bun. Once you think you have stable control of the Earths you have gathered, smash my clone together.

I flow my chakra into the earth, and think of raising the earth. I make the earth slowly rise around the clone, and hold it, before thinking about molding those two structures together. I then flow more chakra and the two structures connect, smashing the clone in between.

 

[Adachi]

Short range is 0-5 meters, mid is 5-15 meters, and long is 15-25. This jutsu is able to go up to long, so you can actually do a lot more with this jutsu rather than just crashing your opponent. By creating huge pieces of rocks, you can basically have a good control of the battlefield. Like I said, Earth allows for creativity, so the only limit is your own imagination and chakra, of course.

Description: After performing the Rat hand seal, the user to control multiple sections of rock and move them around their opponent. The user then forms two gigantic sections that crush the opponent.

For this next jutsu, it would require some concentration as you did for the earth-sinking one earlier. Begin by channeling your chakra into the earth around you and as you do so, change the chakra within the earth from hard to soft. This will then allow you to dig into the earth.
Once you have done this, I will then send a shadow clone to a different location above the surface. When you come up, tell me where he has gone to.
Remember to try and detect him using your chakra while underground. Become one with the Earth.

I flow my chakra into the earth and close my eyes. I sink into the ground and keep quiet and attempt to reach out and sense the chakra of other things. I sense you by yourself where you were standing but I also sense a clone, roughly 10-15 meters away, out of sight. I come out of the earth and tell you what I sensed and observed.

If you were behind cover, you could have a clone go underground, or you could go underground, make a clone, and come up and they wouldn't know your clone was underground?
Also quick question-
If you had a clone go underground at the beginning of a battle to do this, how long would he last?
And You could use this in a defensive way so you would know of incoming attacks.

I think he would last for the whole battle. And not quite for the defensive manner - what kind of elements do you think you can generally avoid with such a jutsu (escaping into the ground)?
