[Discussion] Diversity: To Each Their Own

The idea for this thread came to me when a thread that really bothered me was posted. The thread was basically saying you are a loser if you RP and are dumb for thinking Naruto is real. Although I don't RP, this really bothered me. I proceeded to reply saying how everyone is different and should be allowed to do what they enjoy without being judged. I also stated that role playing does no harm to anyone. The point of THIS thread, however, is to discuss how us as members of the Naruto Base community should strive to be open-minded and friendly and not judge anyone, especially fellow Naruto fans. Of course, this should be obvious even in outside NB, but people sometimes forget. Further more...

People are diverse. Everyone is different in some ways to the next person, and that is 100% okay! We must keep that in mind and accept people DESPITE their differences. Just because someone thinks differently from you, enjoys different things, or acts differently etc does not mean you should think any less of them. We are blessed as human beings with the ability to express emotions, and it'd be a shame to channel those emotions negatively. Be open minded and accept that people will be different no matter what you do or say. This is more or less a rant, and I apologize for that, but I felt it was an important reminder. Love you NB!

It is not intended as a response. The thread made me think about how some people can be judgmental so I posted this thread as a friendly reminder encouraging an open mind, thats all.

I always do my best to be open minded and respectful to everyone, but fanboys and trolls do push me to my limits sometimes. More people need to be like you. People can be different and have their own weird things about themselves, but that doesn't mean we have to look down on others or judge them. It's why I ignore trolls and fanboys, I just can't take them seriously any more. I have engaging discussions with the other members, though.
