Well, a while ago, saaaaaadpanda's thread Just for Kicks was deleted....and he has no intention (at least right now) of reviving it....
So I thought I would take it upon myself to revive it....

So, go ahead, ask me anything. I'll try to keep up with the thread as much as possible.

~This thread is dedicated to saaaaaadpanda, Wang, and everybody else who posted on saaaaaadpanda's Just for Kicks thread....

Sure, my little brother of 9 has problems with his math homework. Here are the questions:

- Find a formula for the probability that two elements chosen at random generate the symmetric group.

- Find the smallest positive integer(in base 10) satisfying
the following 3 conditions:
1). It is odd
2). It is a square
3). Its only digits are 0 and 1.

- Prove that the non trivial zeros of the Riemann Zeta-function lie on the critical line 1/2i*t

Good luck solving them.

#1: unsolved even by great mathematicians...
#2: its one of the replies....and i doubt your little brother is studying number theory... xd
#3

did you just google hardest math problems in the world?

Now is too soon dummy...you have to give him at least a few weeks, duh
oh.... too late now? there's no stopping this train....

Actually, number 3 is still unsolved, you just googled the function.

how many large dogs does it take to fill up the world

well, provided that the surface are of the earth is 510,072,000 km2
and the length of a big dog would be, maybe about 1 m, and width about 0.4m (approximates)

then the answer would be 1.2751 x 10^15 dogs.... assuming they can stand on the water..

Actually, number 3 is still unsolved, you just googled the function.

mhm... kinda figured it was still unsolved

If I wanted to shave my pubic hair, and stick it on a bald mans head, how much pubic hair will I need to have given the bald man at least shoulder length hair? In grams. < The hardest question known to man.

Well, I've actually done this before, it takes exactly a half pound of pubes. Now here's the hard part, converting a half pound into grams... Hmm, well I sell weed to grade school kids, so I know there 16 ounces in a pound, so divide 16 by 2 and you get 4, maybe. Now how many grams in an ounce...hmm. I'm sorry, you're on your own.

You would need quite a lot of pubic hair. I'll do an estimate after work...
