Actually, Madara declared Guy the strongest, so Madara countering back does not help in this case, becauseyou saw how fast Guy ran and his attacks was difficult to dodge, and that's when Madara had to block and took the hit. If Madara used other jutsus, I am pretty sure Guy would have dodged them + Madaras Limbo cannot even react to 8th Guy's speed anyway.

Madara has never fought seriously against Gai, he just wanted to see the eight gate.

If was fighting seriously, he would use the Limbo and goodbye Gai.

Madara he's had opportunities to use it, especially when Gai stopped for exhaustion or when he was preparing the Ya gai

Gai was also helped by Minato, Kakashi etc, or he would die (Gai can not even touch the black spheres). Gai is strong, but overrated....Fans do not see its clear weaknesses.

Yeah he didn't react in time and he was hit with Gai's strongest attack, and then he just began healing. You have to seal Madara in order to beat him. Using taijutsu isn't enough.

He could have also substituted with his limbo clones or even have used any other jutsu to attempt to stop Gai's attacks. But he just stood there and watched with a sinister smile on his face. Gai is amazing and he destroys everyone except for Madara.

Am I the only one who feels as if Guy shouldn't have been able to land a hand on Jubi Jin Madara?
Basically, EMS Madara was concidered a beast and probably could've solo'ed the 5 kages alone. Now, lets add Hashirama cells, sm AND the Juubi, yet Guy, a "normal" jounin was close to ending him alone. Kamikaze or not, it's just dumb.

What are your thoughts on this? Good or bad? Or am I dead wrong?

Unlocking the 8th gate let alone a few, is an extreme feat.
Its completely viable being as strong or stronger than Madara, its a nuke.

If Madara didn't want him to land any blows he would have shielded himself with his TSB. This was the first time that Madara legitimately thought that he was going to lose, and like the mad man that he is, loved that challenge and wanted to see what would happen. He instantly began regenerating after every attack. And he was enjoying every moment of it. He kept asking Gai if he had any other moves because he wanted to see what would happen.

Let me add some thoughts on this topic:

1. It was more test of Juubi Jinchurki Madara's endurance and durability then Fight. At least in Madara's eyes
2. JJ Madara has got his tsb taken away from him by Minato so Gai got help
3. Even If Gai could dodge Madara's attacks it would still took a bit of time from him and Gai would be weaker with each second passed ultimately leading to faster death and maybe even unable to unleash finall attack
4. Madara was in the weakest JJ Form as he lacked God Tree which he later absorber and most importantly his other eye RG.
