Am I the only one who feels as if Guy shouldn't have been able to land a hand on Jubi Jin Madara?
Basically, EMS Madara was concidered a beast and probably could've solo'ed the 5 kages alone. Now, lets add Hashirama cells, sm AND the Juubi, yet Guy, a "normal" jounin was close to ending him alone. Kamikaze or not, it's just dumb.

What are your thoughts on this? Good or bad? Or am I dead wrong?

Well, let's put this in a diffrent perspective, so basically, Guy could've showed up to the 1v1 Betwen Madara and Hashirama and solo them both, then have enough time to head to every vilage and 1shot their kage. And here we're talking about the Guy who were struggling against 1/4 of Kisame.

you can use 8 gates only one time , and it's not 1/4 kisame it's 1/3. Plot or whatever you call it , from the first part of series 8 gates are respected like something stronger then 5 kage's together .

If Madara didn't want him to land any blows he would have shielded himself with his TSB. This was the first time that Madara legitimately thought that he was going to lose, and like the mad man that he is, loved that challenge and wanted to see what would happen. He instantly began regenerating after every attack. And he was enjoying every moment of it. He kept asking Gai if he had any other moves because he wanted to see what would happen.

Madara had time to react in anime only because it was not good animation , in manga Guy was way faster , Madara didn't have time to recover from atacks.

That was with the help of Minato/Kakashi/Gaara/Lee. Madara broke it himself and he still survived.

I would have preffered if it was revealed Tobirama created 8 gates. And then instead of Guy, him activating 8 gates. On one hand, I would like it as a fan. On the other hand, it would make much more sense that with 8 gates, one of the most powerful Kage can achieve Juubi Jinchuriki level. And Guy would live and not be saved by Naruto.

Kisame had to change the entire field just to gain an advantage over guy and still lost. As a matter of fact he lost to Gai in his natural advantageous habitat 3 times. Don't underestimate Gai, stop overestimating Kisame.

You are underestimating Gai's power of youth so much. No him hitting Madara is what made it perfect for the story. The 8 Gates Technique was hyped since Part 1 and even as Madara stated himself when he was fighting Gai it reminded him of when he fought Hashirama. He also worked hard to get to that stage so him not hitting Madara was a bad idea. If Gai could beat Kisame in his 7th Gate then it is possible to beat Jubbi Jin Madara with his 8th Gate.

Actually, Madara declared Guy the strongest, so Madara countering back does not help in this case, becauseyou saw how fast Guy ran and his attacks was difficult to dodge, and that's when Madara had to block and took the hit. If Madara used other jutsus, I am pretty sure Guy would have dodged them + Madaras Limbo cannot even react to 8th Guy's speed anyway.
