[Question] Dislikes.

So why is it that you can't give an infinite amount of dislikes like you can do with the likes. Is there a specfic reason for the limited dislikes you can give per day?

The dislike button, there is a limit to it. My dislike button goes after I click 10 dislikes, but I can carry on using the like button and don't have to wait till the like button appears.

Does it even matter that much though, now? :| It somewhat had an impact when there was the counter, but now it seems sorta mundane. Well, I guess it's because there is the top 5 disliked list or whatever. But do people actually care about getting a dislike?

Yes, a fair number of users dislike receiving dislikes - it adds fuel to some feuds and spawns new ones, when abused. The system, itself, was meant to be harmless, but there's always a small crowd that spoils things for the remaining people. Beyond that, it's the sheer extent these aforementioned individuals went with the feature that was really the primary issue. That said, the admins may or may not adjust the limit.
